Making sushi is my major job in the store, but in order to make all combos available in the time limit, it cannot be done by myself, so teamwork would be very important at this time, and this is when I learned how important teamwork skill is. My boss is a friendly and humorous people, he can always tell a story in an interesting way that makes us doesn't feel too much pressure during while we are working. Both my teammates and I were really enjoy working there. But sometimes I forget the procedure of making some kind of sushi due to lots of customers were ordering, so i think this is the hardest part, to make sushi with both speed and quality.

Tremendous pressure as one employee is often expected to carry on absolutely all the work tasks often alone from cleaning to cooking ans everything in-between. The formation time of 3 weeks before you're on your own is incredibly small for all what is to be learned and integrated. Competition among employees used by the management as a weapon renders the work environment pretty uncomfortable, bad and old work equipments...

I loved my work life at Sushi shop, the environment and other workers were amazing. Being one of the first employees when the shop had opened I have learned so much, time management ,patience and much more. The boss was amazing, one of the sweetest man I've ever met, the best employer you could ever ask for. hardest part of the job would be keeping up with high demand for sushi ,as it is a hand made product and needs to be perfect large orders take longer sometimes. the work environment was always productive but fun, joking around with employees and customers.

I was the only "High School Student" in this Sushi Shop, so they had to add a Schedule for the weekend just for me. The reason i got "fired" is because i was basically a full-time student due to finishing school everyday at the same time, not like college students where they get to have some free day on a certain day. I had to wake up at 4 AM to get there. (From Cote-Vertu to Berri-Uqam) and i should arrive there by 5:45 AM. otherwise, it was a great experience, even tho i made a lot of mistakes.

A good place to work on sushi shop, people are nice, and many varieties of food need to learn especially how to decorate the sushi as same as the menu, but the number of employees working at sushi shop is too few like 3 people working. When it gets busy, I have to be as quick as possible to finish the order and for skip the dish orders also.

There's a lot to do and they don't give you any time to learn it properly before they make you work on your own (within three weeks in my case, and after having promised they wouldn't leave me alone to close the shop). The training and management is very poor and inadequate and the pressure is pretty bad. The sushi-rolling itself is super fun, but that's about it.

I started out as a sushi maker which was really fun but because of my language skills and multitasking skills I was put as cashier where I would take calls, orders in person, prep the food, clean the dishes and restaurant, and any other jobs necissary while the others made sushi. I loved the people I worked with, and we were a good team on the most part. Work was hard on weekends but its to be expected.

Not a good place do not recommend I would dislike  going into work and the people there made it bad…only pro is that it is decent money but other then that not good I hated working there uncomfortable environment and too fast paced to the point it is unrealistic 

While working at Sushi Shop, the environment was very warm - every employee is treated like a family. I learned through this experience that customer service is really important, regardless of the type of job you have. It was very important to give the customers' the best service we could offer in order to bring more potential customers in the future.

My experience working as a cook for 2 months. my responsibilities were:
Creating a rich sushi menu with various main ingredients and raw fish (for example, salmon, tuna, unagi)
Preparing all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi
Selecting fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes (including avocado, mango and carrots)
