If you’re considering working at this company especially in the Tonic Spa or the Coffee Bar think twice. The turnover rate is extremely high; people either quit out of frustration or are let go with little explanation. Management struggles with consistency and staff support.

Salaries are below what you’d expect for the responsibilities, especially considering that tips are not allowed in either the coffee or bar areas,unlike most similar workplaces. This significantly reduces potential earnings, which is particularly frustrating given how busy it can get. Additionally, they often avoid offering full-time contracts to cut benefit costs.

The spa and coffee teams are frequently understaffed, underappreciated, and overworked. Morale is low, and communication from upper management is inconsistent. There’s little room for growth or recognition, and burnout is common.

Unless you’re desperate for a temporary gig, you’re better off exploring other opportunities where the team is valued more fairly.

The only positives were a few supportive coworkers and access to the membership facilities.

This place has the potential to become a great workplace the moment they truly starts valuing their employees.

S&T is a pretentious social club than it is a health and wellness facility. The main floor is way too chaotic it makes you wanna walk right out. It’s also obvious that some managers take their anger out on employees when they’re stressed. The vagrants of Yonge street trickle into the facility putting staff and customers at risk and you’re expected to be a mental health/ social working professional on top of doing the job you’re actually there for. If you enjoy being stressed out, having your co workers take their stress out on you, handling people with mental health issue's and occasionally calling the police to help escort them out… this is the place for you, good luck. And the “perks” are not even worth the trouble. 

This place just tries to drain you for all your worth, promises more hours and a future, but in the end, they just want to keep you where you are with the least amount of complaining. Hours are cut, unless you're friends with owners. Under qualified people get raises because of who they know over what they can offer.
Management has no clue how to run the cafe and expect the baristas to do everything for them even if the system is flawed. And if you even try to make things better or speak up, you get fired. This place may look prestigious, but it's all image and manipulation 

This company is quite young but has already accomplished a lot. The team works hard and works together to create a fitness experience unlike any other. Great classes, great coworkers, and a beautiful environment. 

Incredibly unfair expectations for the low pay. Front desk associates are expected to act as supervisors while earning below the poverty line. Management is disorganized, cheap, and expects the team to implement their poorly thought out strategies with zero guidance or instruction - we're constantly left to just "figure it out" on our own. The only upside is getting a free membership, but trust me when I say it isn't worth it. 

In the top 3 worst places I have worked. 
Terrible management, constantly under staffed. Management doesn’t listen or care about staff. Minimum assurance or inspection from them. Incredibly high turnover. The spa is on their 3rd manager in less than 1year. 25 spa staff have also left during this time.
