During my employment, I was continuously beset with emails comparing my progress to everyone else's, normally I would expect to be spoken to about my quality or stats by a team lead, but this never occurred.
One day my hours were cut in half due to a personal issue I was having outside of the job, and while I was told I could get the hours returned to normal at any point I wished, I was continually ignored, attempts were made to placate me and remain on the reduced hours.
But the day that I had decided i had enough and found a new job, suddenly the availability for my full time hours miraculously returned and I was offered them again.
Managers will turn on you if they do not like you.

I worked at Sydney call center for an year and the typical day included doing outbound calls to US and Canadian customers. After some time this gets extremely repetitive and depending on the supervisor you get it can get really difficult and challenging as they expect you to do this non stop and if the calls per hour drops then you are reminded of this in the team meetings. Their systems were slow most of the times and for the pay or the bonus you get for this job is definitely not worth it. Schedule also varied and sometimes you will be notified the day before of the change and expected to work. This could be a temporary job while you look for better opportunities.

Reaching my goals in terms of sales and customer satisfaction 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing but sometimes dealing with rude customers but we are trained to overcome those type of calls so it’s no that stressful 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very awesome love it and the people are very nice to each other 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Answer calls making sure we making sales and above all defuse any conflicts with the customer

I worked for this place not being from Cape Breton, and the Scotians welcomed me in with open arms they made it a great place to work everyone smiling and making sales. i would definitely recommend anyone to work here, the management are super nice and there was even room for advancement before i left they were trying to make me a manager. unfortunately i had to leave Sydney due to family reasons otherwise i would probably still work there. Awesome place to work!


If you want to work for a horrible and suffocating environment where you get treated like an animal, SCC is the best place for you. Here they will coach you with insults, Demotivate you if you don’t perform, even with small mistakes if you made they will highlight in such a way that you made a big mistake. If you don’t need a happy work like, this is the best place for you anytime. 

One of the things I really enjoy about working with you is that you’re always willing to share ideas and support your colleagues! You don’t just consider the topics you’re working on, but you come up with ideas to help everyone else on the team and improve our processes.

That sets a great example and encourages other team members to be innovative and supportive. Thank you!

Don't dare get sick.  After the interview and the tests.  Didn't get the shifts i was told i was to work.  Had an issue with somethings.  was told to solve it myself.  Unreal how many sales your supposed to get.  in order to make there idea.  Training was good.  Untill you had a question .  same as on the floor. And the  rate of pay isn't as good as they say,

I have worked several months. The supervisior and team leaders constantly push agents to get sale as well as if you fail to get the sale you have to listen very harsh word. They contantly judge people. Their treatment is very hurtful, not at all cooperative. Overall highly disappointed. 

If you want to survive in Sydney, this is the job you can expect. I believe its good if you are an international students and want to work there as a part time employee for 20 hours in a week. They call it "Onstar Blue button welcome call", which is a nightmare. Most of the supervisors are old and in their late 60s.

Easy to get a job. Friendly coworkers, supervisors and management. Good Job security but you get minimum wages only. Flexible shifts so you can manage your schedule accordingly.
