The day started at 5:00 am, my coworkers and I would go into the warehouse to get our safety vests, stop signs and walkie talkies. We then would go to our stations (one at the back of the warehouse, two out front on the street, one per side of the road and one on standby) to set up our gear. We would rotate stations every hour or so and the person on break would go get everyone a coffee. 
Something I learned in this workplace was that as long as you are respectful the other workers will listen to you equally; this was important since communication in this job was key to avoiding head on collisions between vehicles in the driveway.

The whole place is very clicky, and you better make sure that you are in the right click. If you are not then better not stay. I worked my butt off for three weeks to get walked out for not showing enough intuitive. Working on the hottest day to perform my duties and getting the job down on time and showing up to work 30 mins before. This company is a joke all the lines are not up to standard breaking down constantly, then you have to find something to do and if don’t you get yelled at, but not the clicky kids who can stand around all day and do nothing.. it’s a joke of a company I recommend finding something better stay away!

The director of HR is a tyrant. She does not make anyone feel comfortable at work, not accommodating or understanding. Seems like she didn't even attend school for hr. I did not even report to her but I watched her tear people apart and limit people in certain divisions from talking. The company could be so much more if the right people were put in place in that role. We lost a lot of good people due to one person unfortunately. The CEO is a  well respected, knowledgeable and a good leader, I hope he makes a change for the good and betterment of everyone at Stackpole.

hours of operation 2 shifts
5 am to 130pm or 9am till 6 pm

there is no job security here, you will be released with no warning

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
favortism comes first, young new management team bullies staff

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
work load is to inconsistent very slow times, 5 people pushing brooms to hurry up and finish your work

Hard work for 6 months of the year, slow paced for the other 6 if you don’t get laid off. It varies branch to branch but Kent Bridge, Paincourt and Hensall branches are pretty much Highschool drama on a daily basis and the pay is nothing to write home about as the higher paid employees only make $24-$25 per hour. Some managers at branches look to help workers out while other places like the aforementioned do anything they can to save a buck.  

No communication from dispatch just take the load then your on your own. Company dosen't want any input for improvement or new ideas from drivers very old school. No updates on anything. Including new work. Equipment is newer but really not maintained  as well as it should be. Pay is low average. Recruiter just hires drivers tells you what you want to hear but, there is no Driver support.  Pretty much no information on anything! Can't really rate CEO don't know who it is.

The owner seemed to have walked away from the Transportation part of Sylvite 5 years ago and left it with a VP & TM who were very deceiving. Dispatch was a free for all, able to yell and swear at drivers in front of everyone with no recourse. I have seen a lot of good people from management to drivers leave over the past 2-3 years. A Recruiter working there will have a fulltime job for life due to the turnover. This company is damaged beyond repair.

A typical day was in the office, greeting customers and assisting as required. 
I learnt a lot about agriculture and the farmers in my area. 
Management and co-workers were great to get along with until the busy spring rush. 
The hardest part of my time with Sylvite was moving onto Henkels and McCoy after being offered a great job in my educational background. 
The most enjoyable part was being able to drive the country roads, delivering fertilizer and crop protection to the local farmers.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. They are far from professional: they never paid me for my time off, they were never kind, and they consistently showed favoritism toward certain drivers. They do not respect seniority, and there is no communication channel with managers. Most of the people working there do not speak to you—they just shout at the employees. I would not recommend them at all."

Management

Management is supportive and provided guidance when needed. Expectations were communicated clearly, and feedback helped employees improve their performance and meet organizational goals.
