TD PLACE

A regular day working at TD Place is a very exciting time. Working as a concession lead is a handful but very entertaining. Customer service has to be fast and efficient and you are never not doing something. Customers will come to you that will give a hard time and you have to deal with them as well as make the next order. From this I learned to become an excellent person when it comes to dealing with peoples needs and I learnt how to multi-task very well. The management is great at TD. High managers are always around to help an employee out and show him/her the right way of doing tasks. On top of that, my co-workers are great people. It is a team at TD Place and we all know we have to work together to provide a great service. The hardest part of the job I would say is Half-Time. Customers are rushing the concessions wanting to get food, drinks, and you got to be patient and productive to handle all the customers. Although this is the hardest part of the job but it is also the most enjoyable one because this is the time when the pressure is on and you are actually now working.

Merchandising staff are quite friendly, and the job isn't too hard. Just be ready to stand up for long periods of time. It can get quite fast-paced during games (Redblacks are the busiest). However, on your break you can go watch the game and get discounted food. Concerts are also a bit of a fiasco, but again you get to hear the music on break/when there isn't much going on. Pay is good and the system works. Management is relatively good, but could be better. 
I had a great time working here, and recommend it if you're trying to get some sales/merch experience!

TD place is a excellent place to work for the sports fanatic! There's always work to be done witch means a lot of flexible available hours. Management is very understanding when it comes to most things. If your honest with them, they'll be honest with you. The hardest part of the job has got to be the post cleanup after events. With a lot of staff, the work load is equaled out between the staff member. The most enjoyable part about my job is coming into a wonderful sports stadium everyday.

Working at TD has been one of the most rewarding and fun jobs I have ever experienced. The staff/management and clients are all kind and wonderful people. They make every day exciting and new and I am honoured to be able to put on my resume that I was given the opportunity to work in their premium level.

While I was working at TD I mostly worked football games for the Ottawa Redblacks as well as an AC/DC concert. Seeing the games and being around the fans was great but unfortunately you didn't get a lot of hours since they hire summer workers exclusively for the football season. It's great for part time, it's a pretty easy relaxed environment with fairly low stress.

I learned how to help people and direct them in the simplest most efficient ways and how to keep traffic jams and crowds from happening. I directed customers to places they needed to go around the Lansdowne complex and helped during the sporting events so that the entries and exits run smoothly.

Worked there for 3 years, and that was 3 years too many.

Throughout the 3 years, long 12 hour shifts, continous increase in duties without increase of compensation. Poor communication within the team and other departments. And alot of the people you work with are arrogant, ignorant, and inconsiderate. 

Really regret my time there.

I have learnt to be hardworking when given any type of the job,I have leanrt to work with multitudes of people and to always choose to be positive regardless of the circumstances I faced.I have learnt to strive for greatness.I had  a good time interacting with my co-workers and the team work was amazing.

The atmosphere is great and the team dynamics work really well! It was really easy to learn how things worked, and the customers all all really great because they're excited for the events.

It was a great opportunity to learn something new. I had only had my smart serve for selling beer at my other job. I applied to be a bartender and was hired! I learned the job quickly and was sad to go. I found full time employment, the only reason I left TD Place.
