Team environment with great coworkers. Management is fair, honest and approachable.  

You get what you put into the job. In my short time I've witnessed coworkers go from part time to contract to full time. You'll be given every chance to succeed if you're hard working and dependable.

Job is pretty straightforward and easy if you don't mind manual labour. Would definitely recommend working for the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.

Unhelpful management; very small town mentality. 

Most people got their positions because they know someone. Qualifications are minimal. HR does not respond to issues within the workplace. 

A very stressful place to work. Underpaid. Rates are not competitive compared to similar sized municipalities. 

Avoid at all costs.

Powwow meeting first thing in the morning on what needs to be done for the day. You can always get a hold of management if you have any questions. Great working environment. Hardest part of the job is being limited by office politics on what can be done.  multiple opportunities to operate many different types of machinery. 

As a Facility Operator I work to ensure that our Leisure Centre is in it's best possible condition at all times.  Ice Maintenance and Pool Operations are the main areas of focus.  Public Relations and Customer Service are used 100% of the time, as Town representation and reputation are extremely important.

I enjoyed all of my co-workers and had an overall good experience working for the town. There was no typical day as an operator because every day brought new challenges. I didn't enjoy the management because they didn't respond to staff suggestions or concerns well. 

They are an accommodating workplace. Had the oppurtunities to do on going training including working at heights and confined space entry. living wage is meet for their co-op positions.

So my typical day at work included taking care of kids for there summer camp program. Maintaining a safe environment for the kids. Lastly great time management skills.

Work atmosphere was fun, hours were regular, Pay was much lower than surrounding townships. Management has recently changed over, the people were the most enjoyable element of the positon

Management is horrible, don’t trust/have employees back. Pay is not enough for what you do. Overall bad place to work at. Forget to give overtime pay and wrong paystubs almost every cheque.
