I worked internally with TPD for 5 years in a variety of different positions. 

Every day is very different, and you have the opportunity to truly make an impact on a candidate or clients life daily. 

There can be a lot of pressure towards activity targets and meeting a budget. A lot of my colleagues struggled with the pressure. It is a sales environment, regardless of your role. Whether or not contingent recruiting and the compensation structure at TPD motivates the right behaviour is out to question, although I was promised changes were coming on that.

My manager's were always supportive, yet it is an environment where if you want change, if you want advancement, if you want career development opportunities, you need to create and push for them yourself. While my ideas always feel welcomed and well received, and my requests have never been denied, you do need to ask for what you want and show why it is in the best interest of the company.

Profit share can be very rewarding, but also tough to reach. As a result there are very good months, but a lot of salary only months. Salaries tend to be slightly below industry average. 

Culturally, I always found the teams I worked with to be a very fun group. They try to get together inside and outside the office. No drama, no cliques. People seem genuine. Everyone goes out of their way to make a new employee welcome.

I applied for a job though Indeed and was contacted by someone at TPD from Columbus OH for a pre-screen interview. After emailing me, calling me, and txting me all within 30min. We connected and began. 

After 3 basic questions about the role, he asked what’s you salary expectations. I stated that the amount in posting 65k/yr plus bonuses would be sufficient. He than asked me again what “did I really want to be paid”. I again repeated what they posted was fine. Then his demnor got odd. He asked me if I would “take 60k instead”. I replied “as a base? What would the bonuses be then”. He proceeded to cut me off and state “ I do not have that information, I will pass along your resume to my manager and we will get back to you”. On a very frustrated and annoyed tone. 

Haven’t herd anything since. So is this how this company conducts business? Try and lowball people looking for jobs and lie to them? Extremely unprofessional recruitment company.

I've been working with these guys on and off since 2014. Things were great when I started out - lots of openings for full-time positions that lasted months, decent pay, good locations. Lately however, things seem to have gone kinda downhill. A lot of places aren't using temp workers anymore, at least where I am, and the pay isn't nearly enough for an expensive city like Vancouver.

The TPD agents you'll talk to are all super nice and understanding. They know their stuff, and they'll always answer questions and give you the info you need. It's a good gig to be a temp if you like variety, but you'd do well to remember this: If you're gonna get in with these guys, don't rely on it for income. It's a good pick-me-up if you need some quick cash, but there's no job security here anymore.

Working at TPD has been a great experience. Everyone that works at TPD is accommodating and loves to share their knowledge to help you succeed! If you are struggling, someone is always there to lend a helping hand. Their compensation mix is above average - benefits, fixed and variable compensation, office allowance, and paid trips for professional development. Management is extraordinary - they know how to provide feedback in a way where it is encouraging and helps you improve! In addition, they appreciate their employee's feedback to help improve processes - feedback, feedback, feedback! Communication is key here, and it shows. The organizational culture is team-oriented, with a friendly competitive aspect. Most importantly, work if fun, and professional.  

As an Account Manager my role was, manage three different service lines to my clients. I would be directly involved in the day-to-day tasks of the processes developed, but also in finding new clients. A typical day would be checking e-mails, reviewing client questions/reviews, learn about new postings, understand the business needs, and cold calling. My management was superb, very friendly and helpful whenever an issue arose or questions needed to be answered. My co-workers were very friendly and allowed me to excel in my short time there. The hardest part of my job for me was the cold calling aspect of the position. The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the success of my team members when an order I brought in was closed.

TPD has been a really great place to work. It has been an impactful stepping stone in building my career as an HR professional. Management is supportive and provides the resources and help needed to be successful in my role. The transparency of the company ensures I always know what is expected of me, and I am conformable reaching out for support I feel anything is preventing me from doing so. 

I am so happy with how much I have been able to learn and grow in a short time and am eager to further my success as a part of this company. TPDs values are evident and the drive they have to perform and help our clients is tremendous.

overall a good company. it serves a lot of foreign companies contracting in canada who want zero liability of its canadian workforce. so TPD treats you good but the clients you're working for don't always. poor safety standards of the people ur contracted to.
TPD promotes safety but the client you're working for says if u keep ur job or not.

Great company to work for. TPD leaders are willing to listen to their employees suggestions and recommendations. They offer a lot of support for employees who are looking to develop and ensure that all team meetings add value. Great place to work if you like to be productive, seek growth and are looking for a fun/inclusive team to work with. 

Great company with amazing people! Everyone works as a team and is very supportive of one another - If someone needs help, everyone jumps on it. Amazing company culture,; everyone's voice/opinions are valued, company values our well being (lunch time Yoga class to get us out of our desks!) and everyone is there to support each other - you can count on colleagues for assistance as much as you can management. 

Typical day is fast paced, working on lots of different projects at once. Learned a lot about different industries and roles, in a short period of time. Management is supportive but sometimes direction is lacking. Culture wise, it's a young environment. Hardest part of the job is that you face a lot of setbacks and rejection, need to be thick skinned. Most enjoyable part of the job is making an impact on people lives.
