I liked the people I worked with but the jobs that were lined up and the amount of work that was told when we got their to the actual amount of work there was was a false statement 90 percent of the time. There was also times where you would sit for months on end waiting for a job to pop up and that in itself was not a life style some people can take especially myself. The hardest part about the job was carrying and setting up equipment, also maintaining a integral sense of your job and making sure everything was intact like having a proper permit and making sure everyone was out the area if you're doing radiation work. (Some people don't listen to the barricades) Management in the edmonton office was not great, they would hire anyone and everyone and not have work for them, they would only use them for a number and maybe it was too much for them to handle. But that's not everyone their, it's only certain people who made backward calls and push favoritism on a few. Everything I got out of the job was to always ask questions and not beat around the bush, that way was the best way to learn. Honestly if the Edmonton base had management with a better sense I would have made more of a commitment to stick around but when you're lied to more than once then you get a false sense that they don't have everything together.

Was so excited to get to start working their. Even after the first day I was so excited to work next. Then you find you , you can only work once a week. After working once a week for a couple weeks in a row then they don't call for a month. Now it has been 5 months without one call. Its ridiculous. The pay is great but that temp service hired to many people or something. ( I think they did that so nobody ever gets hired on). If someone gets hired on then they don't make the $5 or $6 dollars an hour everytime you or any temp works.

There was even people their for 3 years still hoping to get hired on but they also only work a max. once a week. And some of them havn't been called for 7 months. Its ridiculous. Temp services should not be able to do that to people. Not all the temp services are the same but this one was A WASTE OF TIME. STAY AWAY FROM ACCU STAFF

Absolutely cracking set of blokes working there most of who are underpaid and massively undervalued! I worked there for 15 years and watched its demise from an amazing place to work to one of the worse in the engineering sector locally. The place is basically without any management team due to its demise. Its a grossly unfair place to work  with a culture of “private deals” due to the desperation of retaining staff. A number of the staff are not even time served tradesmen but are being sold as such! I was one of around 8 staff (around half of the shop floor) who have left over the last year or so due to the pre mentioned, that should tell you a lot!

I start my day here at 8AM and ended at 5:00PM. I have learned to use a new software here which is the wherein all the detail data of our technicians from our client inspection were being transferred.

The management are so cool that they allow these flexible hours to every employee and have a good benefits.

For my co-workers, they are awesome, kind and super supportive. On my firts day they already treated me as one of their family.

The hardest part is that having no assignment for a straight 3 days, as for me that is an hardworking and work pressure lover.

No idea whats going on until 3 minutes before the job then its like an emergency call to be there asap. Lack of job details or relevant information for job (location, type of testing, tools needed, job contact information, what needs to be tested). 

No idea if the day is going to be a 4 or 16 hour shift, no idea what the next day is going to be. 
Day-Start time unclear, some days 8am or 10am somedays 4pm start and expected to know when to show up without notice or communication.
Poor scheduling. 

Lack of communication. Some people are "in the know" some people are left out.

 Employee favoratism and special treatement. Watch your timesheet carefully and keep your own records. 

Good place to work, steady hours, not the safest of places as it's at National Steel Car located in Hamilton, Ontario but other than that I had a great time working there, people were excellent, lots of food in the vending machines to buy that tasted great, learned quite a bit about how paint booths work or who they're made by/for all around canada, hardest part of the job was a supervisor that had an alcohol problem, slept most of the time on the job other than that the most enjoyable part of the job was the freedom to talk while you work, I believe that contributes to people liking their job, hours, and even pay even if it's only a few dollars above minimum wage.

Attend weekly board reviews to discuss issues that have arisen in the plant during the week. A solution is then discussed and put into motion to alleviate these problems.

Further responsibilities include, auditing washrooms, production operation stations, and many other areas in the plant to ensure our team is addressing all problem areas in a timely manner.

At the end of each shift a set of detailed notes is submitted to my direct superior explaining the conditions of multiple locations throughout the plant.

Communication with branch manager was poor at best. When changes were made to procedures for example, there were no transition plans in place to make changes smoothly. Great place for independent workers to thrive if you are good at defining your own position. There was no training at all. The operations manager is a great person and the only reason that the office is thriving.

Mostly contractor jobs.  Benefits are being paid weekly.  They provide most PPE.  Free coffee machine.  Overtime after 8 hrs.  1.5x during weekends.  Minimum pay will be 4 hours even if job is finished early.  Sometimes you get many hours when they need people.  Other times you get no hours.  There are employees that come in to see if there's work and get sent home.  Certain safety issues were address but management just brushes it off (ie. Ventilation of the building wasn't fixed for awhile).  No hours for certain people after pandemic.

The janitorial work was thankless but that goes for most places, the pay was very little, minimum wage, the benefits were sub par and take a very long time to come back in. Co-workers were good but the management was not, one boss would ignore people standing right in front of him, the other lied to your face about lay-offs, pay, job advancement and ect. We were not told about layoffs until 5 minutes before the end of our shift even though they knew well in advance (1-2 months if not more)
