The Pool Shoppe

A typical day included a variety of tasks which made a 8 hour day feel like a 3 hour day. I learned a lot about team work and organization. The management is great; a family owned business with amazing people. The hardest part of the job was keeping on top of my many duties while answering phones for customer service. The most enjoyable part was the sense of accomplishment felt at the end of each day. Also, the people were awesome to work with.

I worked at The Pool Shoppe for a year and a couple of months. It was the perfect first job. I was always given enough hours, never had a hard time when I needed to book a day off and I made long-lasting friendships with my co-workers. The only reason I left was because I wanted a job that would give me health care benefits. However, it was a good steady pay and a great first experience, I learned so much and made a lot of great memories.

I enjoyed my 4 years at the pool shoppe. I learned a lot and had the opportunity to help others acquire new skills. I enjoyed the long hours and above average wage that I made there. The owners and operators are very fair and generous with their time if you wish to take on more responsibility.

I've been working at this company for 4 seasons and my day starts at 7:30 and is usually done by 4:00 with the option to work more or go home.  You get the same work day after day but the days go by fast.  The pay is decent and the bennifits are pretty good.  The staff and management are nice and communicate well.  Overall this is a great place to work.

When working at this company I almost always enjoyed my experiences. I had great experiences with the management, they really appreciate their staff, however the retail staff is not always the most welcoming to work with. The actual work is great, easy, and you really learn a lot. Always opportunities for more hours and never had an issue getting full time hours.

Conduct transactions using POS machine
Maintain cleanliness of pools
Learn the different functions of components used on both pools and spas.
Great management staff - very friendly
Co-workers were always easy to get along with and there was all ages from 16-60+
Working outside in the summer was enjoyable.

Great people, great environment and very clear of what you need to accomplish throughout the work day. You gain great team work experience as you work alongside someone else. Overall you learn great skills depending on which department you work in.

i loved working here but for someone not from the neighbourhood it is hard to work there unless i'm off school so for me it is only seasonal. if you are looking for a great job with good pay and fun environment then got o The Pool Shop

The Pool Shoppe is fast paced and crazy at times but the staff is great to work with. Be ready for a busy summer. Love pools and pool products. Lots of pool toys and pool chemicals. Have to be able to retain a lot of knowledge and information.

Working at the pool Shoppe was an amazing experience and definitely a superb summer job for any student in the Hamilton area. It’s a family business and they really make you feel that way 10/10
