Busy, interactive days.  Working well with the team, but also self driven to stay on task and meet goals.  Managers always approachable, hands on experience.  Office filled with hard working individuals with different goals, life experiences and beliefs, but all open for conversation, they will assist and will make you feel at home.  Toughest part of the job, it is an industry where competition is everywhere, some full of false promises and always looking to steal away a good candidate.  You need to move quickly, inform quickly and most important do not compromise integrity.  the interaction I personally have with professional drivers, listening too and meeting their personal expectations together with Company goals, their healthy lifestyle balance, concerns - helping with that makes it worth while.  

FLATBED CROSS BORDER DIVISION  company driver:
Usually a Sunday or Monday morning start. Either head out with a loaded trailer from Friday pick up, or load and go from Hamilton area to destination. Deliver following morning in the USA. Drive to next pick up and load. Deliver in Ontario either the next day or following day. Two trips per week is common. 
The company has a mix of owner operators and company drivers. Often seems owner operators get the best loads/most miles.
All drivers seem helpful and willing to answer questions  about loading, or customers frequented. Designated trucks, and designated flatbed trailers are nice so you know what equipment you have at all times.
Too much unpaid waiting time for the average miles per trip.
Easy to get days off for appointments etc..
There seems to be a favoratism  issue at Bracebridge yard to certain drivers.

Typical day:
Get to work, wait for a run, get hooked up and go....
What I learned:
Just another company that cares more about their quarterly stick reports than their employees
Management:
Doesn't care about drivers only getting freight from point A to B
Hardest part of the job:
Fighting EVERYDAY with dispatch because their pushing you to run lanes you weren't hired for, super super stressful 
Most enjoyable part of the job:
When I was finally running down the highway with no one bugging me

I have no good comments to say at this time they recruited me last year and I'll be out of a job on the 31st of October they're closing operations in North Bay and Sudbury

Like I said they're closing operations in North Bay and Sudbury so I have nothing good to say about the company 35 people will be losing their job

Not very good I would not recommend anybody to apply there at this time

They bought a US company last year so my opinion is they want to run in between Toronto and the US and t

Dispatch head games an make you see rainbows till they get you on board an you run your truck for peanuts  an they take all the money no fuel charge or fuel discount , only thing about this company is good equipment and safety is great other then that worse company to run for all dreams sn make them rich

Management an dispatch worse ever

Great drivers but to many back stabbers kissing an sucking up  but get no where but hated from other drivers

As an o/o it's not worth it. There is major favoritism in the Bracebridge office. I was never able to get night dispatch to answer the phone. Day time dispatch will not differ from their customers from 20+ years ago and they are still paying the same rate from 20 years ago. You will never get paid waiting time. They have no idea about any other commodity other than steel, lumber and rail parts. I tried to get them to take loads I found on load boards that paid better than what they were sending me to pick and they didn't want anything to do with it...   LOTS OF EMPTY MILES ... AND THEY DON'T CARE HOW FAR THEY SEND YOU EMPTY... 

From the interview to the dispatch office , the nicest and most understanding people you will come across in the industry, the owners do everything for you to WIN . I am an owner operator here and the pay cheques are the best I’ve had in the industry, the dispatch office finds you the lanes YOU want and deserve , top notch equipment, beautiful brand new trucks, dedicated flatbed roll tites , how much more could you ask for ! My father works here and I brought in a great friend aswell, and I will continue to bring those close to me on board as this is not an opportunity to be missed ! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Equipment was well maintained. Most Trailers had disc brakes,and never had any issues with them breaking on long hauls

Waiting for bad weather to clear. Icy roads,got etc.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good for the most part, mechanic s very knowledgeable and helpful!  Drivers respected eachother

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
If I was as starting in the afternoon,I would get an update from my dispatch and leave 3 or 4 pm. on a U S run. And maybe get past Knoxville Tenn. and get a safe parking lot there

I was at Xpress for 10 yrs and it was acquired by titanium, the money was good with some downfall of coarse. One is that you had to pay for your own benefits ,another is the bimonthly pay schedule is terrible. But i left for a change of work and try to move on to something different , when the new work was not for me i tried to go back but at titanium if you leave you are worthless and they won't take you back and it's a big flaw. i have 34+ yrs over the road and am worth my experience to any company and when you need drivers good drivers you take them back. So my advise to titanium is reconsider your position on this condition there's often time it would be in your benefit.

What is the best part of working at the company?
worked there for ITS until titanium bought then out then all things went south they let go of the good staff and brought in new people and that's when things went south they have had a large turn over of drivers and staff beware do your research first

not knowing how long you had before being let go

yard was always dusty and full of pot holes never knew what the next dsy would bring

ok when away from office and dispatch
