Todd & Sargent

I worked at their shuttle train loading terminal in Huxley, AB. It has the lowest morale I’ve ever seen on any job site. There was a revolving door of workers. I worked there a whole 3 days and decided that was enough. The morning safety meeting basically just consists of the superintendent threatening your jobs. Unsafe work practices, poor supervision, racism, poor communication, untrained people, and messy housekeeping all run rampant. I can see now why they’re always hiring. You are honestly better collecting unemployment. Stay far away. The only good thing was most of my coworkers.

Site manager for Canada builds -  unpredictable, abusive and volatile.  One day you are told to do it this way, the next day you are being verbally abused for doing what you were previously told. Not being informed of things but suffer the swearing abuse for not knowing.

they are very organized, they give all types of people a chance to work, the pay is good, but your outside most of the time and thats the only hard part about it, overall you don't really get any time off. but they are a good company to a certain extent, but they were good to me.

It was a good experience working with Todd and sargent as a welder . I would have worked longer with them, but my needs of transportation had broken down and was not able to go back and forth to work . I was a team player ,and did my task as I was told .

a typical day at work included a tool box meeting where the GF and lead hands would scold the workers and constantly threaten the workers lol ..It was a poor atmosphere that started with management. the work and workers were great though.

I've worked for Todd & Sargent almost 5 months and it is a great company to work for. They really care about the employees and their safety. And they promote safety in great ways. I wish more construction companies were like this.

Good group of guys, extremely low pay, not on par with the type  of work.


They formen get more loa then workers even though the cost of living is the same for everyone.

You get fired, not even a lay-off,  when the hard work is done so the company can save money. Then they look for new employees when work picks up again. Brutal.

Your day to day tasks will be anything but millwright work helping other trades. No machines to be worked on and just fabricating steel structures with welders and forms with carpenters

Great summer job, nice place to meet new people and use the many skills I have to do a good job at my place of work. great work experience to add on my resume.
