A typical work day were getting ready and preparing for the class. During the class, I helped the children in the classroom to learn how to paint, draw  and the meaning of art. At the end of the day, I  cleaned up the classroom. I have learned an important skill in this workplace, it is always be prepare. Being prepared not only can help me in the workplace but also in any point of my life. My former co-workers were nice and understanding. the hardest part of the job were to deal with the children that doesn't follow the rules and instructions, and causing troubles to everyone in the classroom. The most enjoyable part of the job was at the end of the day, I can see the children can learn and have fun at the same time and going home with a smile. 

• Provided proactive enforcement services for the Town’s by-laws; to prohibit and regulate signs and other advertising devices and posting of notices
• Developed strong multitasking skills by taking on various tasks including the Town of Markham’s first ever beautification project of Ward 8
• Enhanced prioritization skills through maintaining a thorough record of the 70 assignments completed
• Operated a number of motor vehicles provided by the town

-Guard and screen patrons in the pool
-Maintain pool safety
-Co-workers are friendly and do what tehy are supposed
-Hardest part is working limited hours with many breaks
-most enjoyable part is being in the water either saving people or helping teach people to swim

The shifts are full of high school or university level student employees. On a lifeguarding shift you watch over patrons swimming, advise against unsafe behaviour and return pool equipment to the store room at the end of the swimming time.

cut and trim lawns and trees in a section of City of Markhams parks. Long hours under the sun and constant heavy lifting was a large portion of my day as each tool was min. 25lbs.

Amazing staff, open, caring, the customer service is top priority. Love working here. Meeting new people was always the best part of the job. Great experience with cashier, independence, and speaking. Very calm and collected days at work. Hardest was making sure everyone was safe at all times.

I enjoyed working outside and improving the communities within Markham. The pay was not very good although we were guaranteed 40 hours a week.

This was a summer position for me to lead me in to community based work. It allowed me to learn leadership qualities and being able to control a site and supervise.

Town of Markham Camp Chimo had some of the best people to work with. The team had dedication and commitment to doing their best for these kids.

Productive rewarding workplace. I learn a great deal about land development. Work place had a good culture and provide flexibility for personal time. I enjoyed working at the Town of Markham.
