I would get to work, start operating a front end loader.
Favoritism was a normal thing, I was there the longest but put under a glass ceiling and unable to break it.
Other workers who had been there for only a week would get instantly promoted.
Very rude and unprofessional management
Very poor experience working there.

This job was alright. The hours were pretty crazy, and I understand they've gotten even worse. Pay is okay, but you have to be working there for a while before you get any sort of increase. Most coworkers are decent, but there are some that are rude, disrespectful, and even some that harass female employees. Overall, it's okay, but not somewhere you'd want to work long term.

While not the most glamorous, this has been one of the best places I've worked at in my career. If you have solid values, this place is for you. The company has a set of values that they live by, base your decisions on them and you will never be told you are wrong. I've been with companies where values are just lip service, U-Pak lives by their core values.

Work is simple but you work semi outdoors, warehouse doors are open and expect to get dirty as it is a recycling plant. Got to dress for the winter weather as it gets very cold but company provides hand warmers. Summers are a bit harder as you need to wear a jumpsuit but they accommodate with ice cream and water. 

U-Pak Disposals is a complacent, reactive company.  They do not foresee issues until it is too late.  There is not much room for improvement and they do not give performance reviews nor raises.

No proper safety restraints, guards, or equipment because their employees are disposable and treated that way. They care more about money than ensuring the safety and health of employees

Was fired for no reason from the pickering location after 4 months.managerment is a joke she starts problems between employees. Poor working conditions and bad pay changes hours each week don’t work there

Worked here a while ago as a mechanic and would advise to stay away as far as possible. You have to always fear losing your job or getting sent home, you learn nothing and get no advancement whatsoever. 

Applied online and got the job. Upon finishing my first day, they told me that they only got me to work there because another employee was sick and therefore did not show up. I was exploited.

This is a family owned and operated company. In the time that I have been here, the company has grown a lot. The work load has also increased and there is rarely a shortage of work.
