Do not work at this company. They falsely advertise both shift times and general wages. The morale is unlike anything I have ever seen, in a negative way. On my first day, barely anyone aside from the managers spoke to me. The work was hard labour and the salary does not reflect that. During my tour of the facility, management boasted about 1006 days without an accident; despite someone crushing their hand during the first shift, and no, the 1006 days without an accident rating was subsequently not affected by this. 

Upon starting my first shift, the lead hand warned me of an “extremely high turnover rate” which I was taken back by—why admit that to a new hire? Furthermore, the general staff just wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all. I felt completely out of place as it appears this company will hire virtually anyone on the spot; no criminal background checks, and trust me, it shows. 

There are significantly better opportunities for work out there, especially regarding general labour, with reference to both treatment and pay. The bathrooms and lunchrooms are disgusting, and after my first shift I felt genuinely depressed once I got home. 

I've worked here in the past and I have since returned. I often said, the one career decision I regretted was thinking the grass was greener somewhere not Woodtone. This just wasn't true and one of the main reasons I wanted to come back. It really is a place where you matter, where they care about you and you will get to grow. Yes, there will be some challenges, but the grass, it isn't greener. This is someone speaking from experience. This place is the real deal. 

Will hire anyone. Management doesn't care about you, they prefer to belittle you about the smallest of things. The benefits are nice, the floor staff are nice, but that's about it. Their goal is to produce as fast as possible, not caring about the machines. 

They rant and rave about culture, but it only applies to management. Floor staff gets thrown under the bus every day. They prefer to blame any and all problems on the floor staff, calling them incompetent. Doesn't matter how well you perform your job, there's always a problem and it's always you. Never the machine's fault. Sad, really. 

Good to get more work experience, and money if you're desperate, supervisors dish out harsh punishments instead of working with you. You will getting written up for minor things. You will receive feedback on your performance but the way you do a task correctly is different for every supervisor. Supervisors are constantly walking around with their phone out on shop floor even though they aren't allowed.  Other workers are often nice and support however.

i was able to grow many different skill sets over my long career at woodtone, allowing me to be able to pursue my personal career goals for myself elsewhere.

if something isn't clear to you seek a 1 on 1 with management to get the clarity you seek and you will be happy with the results.

Always ask questions they show that you are interested and will always open up to more possibilities.

Woodtone stresses a positive work culture in all areas from the owners on down.  This is demonstrated with training courses, continuous improvement focus, company retreats, bonuses, recognition of achievements, team-building and general friendly work environment.

Woodtone was an awesome place to work, it simply lacked advancement or career options. You're tied to the packaging end of the floor with no escape.

I'd recommend this job to a friend looking for a pay check, but not a friend looking for a future.

-management is so bad and they are doing all time mobing on you 
-monoton work and you haven’t any breaks without lunch(unpaid) 
-when you are overtired and wanted to sit down just a few seconds. They are going to argue with you…
