Worked here for 10 years and started off as a young ambitions and hard working naive man. Left recently as a complete mess as it is a 2 tier pay structure. You will be doing more work, more hours then the senior staff (20plus years) but you will be getting much much less pay and benefits. The managers in the plant are incompetent and highly micromanage your day to day life. The air quality in this facility will eventually give you cancer.Incompetent workers and managers will make you have to work harder then you need to,Less pay for new hires Don't waste time here as it is a rapidly dying industry.

I wouldn’t know where to begin. Could’ve lasted longer over there. The company in itself has a great on boarding. However the office I was at would often dismiss the meetings and say you don’t have to go. They were literally half an hour. I find that they treat you like a child in a daycare. If a mistake was made, they would ask you 10 times why. I get it, but with the lack of training, how about you tell me once and then we move on. The director and manager would often talk badly about Toronto offices. It was really bad to overhear. One thing I didn’t like is that they said they created this position and in a way they kind of regret it because I made a few mistakes and that it was sort of a privilege that I was there.

Stressful Part is an Understatement .  Stress is Daily working for this Company 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Extremely Toxic  Every one for themselves  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The Company is about giving out Discipline and Creating a Toxic Environment

Worked there short period of time. Even with the above average pay they could not keep people. That should be a big red flag to the company. HR department is so bad. You the company makes you feel uncomfortable if you ask for a day off. Then when I left I had to fight to get paid for my last week off f work. Took over a month to get paid. 


I worked at Wakefield Canada (More than 10 years). Enjoyed working with the different employees. Use to have a large workforce of dedicated employees.

Wakefield core values differed by my personal values.

Wakefield purchase the BP manufacturing facility in 2010.  Wakefield's Leadership Team was not aligned with the BP culture as it related to Risk Mitigation, Business Continuity, Health & Safety and general ways of working in a Manufacturing Environment.

Not a healthy place to work, old systems, duplicate work practices, false promises, holding company only care about bottom line. Meetings with no agendas, if you ask a question or make a suggestion that may change anything, nobody will want to work with you. 

Amazing culture and team. They make it very clear that they want to promote from within. Team members are always happy to help/answer any questions. Management has an open door policy and are very approachable. 
Excited to see where Wakefield takes my career! 

Good enough to learn how manufacturing industry is going in Canada. Very standard work environment and nice management as they know what they have to do. if you work properly, company will take care of you properly. I had no issue.
