A typical day at work you'll get about 100 calls from both Bankers and Customers wanting to know the status of the applications they submitted or wants to dispute an application. I've learned to be more patient in explaining the situation and the steps needed to resolve their issues so we could hopefully approve the credit card they're applying for.

           The Management is very good they're very professional and supportive specially when it comes to getting feedback from the employees since the company is fairly new in the Country and you could see that they do take action on the feedback that they get. My co-workers are very easy to work with we're very open when it comes to product knowledge if there's no supervisor available my co-workers comes to me for answers and I also help out whenever there are new hires I teach them ropes, me and my co-workers also go out at times just to unwind and bond with one another which helps build a stronger team. 

            The only hard part of the job is seeing some of my co-workers leaving for a better paying job,because we're all close with one another specially in our department it just makes you sad. And the part I enjoy the most in my job is the part where I help the new hires get settled in I listen to their calls and give them feedback and I also share my best practices with them which in turns helps them a lot in hitting their metrices which in turn help our department hit and even exceed it's goals.

Working here opened doors to different opportunities within the company and outside of it. For the most part, I did enjoy working at Wells Fargo and if I could I would go back and work for them. With that being said, I would not go back to being a teller. There is a lot of pressure on tellers because tellers are the face of the company. Working as a teller I have been yelled at, cussed out, accused of identity theft, have been called a demon and many other things. I was never a bad teller, on the contrary, I was one of the best but when you are dealing with someone's money and you tell them that there is a hold on their check or you can't cash out a check, etc., people change instantly, mostly for the worst. Being a teller, mentally broke me down. When you add verbal abuse to a fast-paced environment while handling thousands of dollars daily without making mistakes. Your mind can only take so much before it breaks. Fortunately having awesome co-workers helped to get through some of those rough days, but that all depends on who you work with and how long they last at the company. If I could make one recommendation for the company, it would be for them to invest more in their tellers, to stand by their tellers and not always the customer. If a customer has verbally abused YOUR employee in any way, close the customer's accounts. But let us be real, that will never happen. With all that being said, do I reccomend working at Wells? Yeah. Great benefits. Just know, you will need a strong mindset.

• Provide frontline customer services for a high volume inbound centre for loans such as mortgage, personal, master cards, auto, business line of credit and retail
• Correspond with client’s concerns by providing clear and accurate information
• Tracking time and efficiency using phone system and Fox Application
• Listen and communicate effectively with clients, analyze and probe for investigation
• Fulfill requirements with details of coverage different types of insurances
• Provide assistance to our local branch managers preparing new applications, submitting tickets to helpdesk for errors, creating accounts and resolve minor issues
• Assist customers to update wide range of inquiries on credit bureau and amendment

Administration (Operations Clerk)

• Prepare statement of account and yearly interest paid, produce payoffs letters, extensions, insurances and claims, refunds, pap, return mails and document management
• Organizing, multitasking and operating with other departments depending on the nature of inquiry, identify risk operations, solve problems and retractions of transactions
• Research with various projects, filing, sorting, archived accounts and e-imaging record
• Combination sitting, standing and walking, printing, faxing, mailing and e-mailing, fixing printers
• Attend meetings, share questions and concerns and exercise policies

My day usually started very early 6 to 7 in the morning, I was never the type to sit or socialize first thing. The day normally very busy, so when I commuted I would visualize my day and prioritize in my mind what was most important or time sensitive that must be done first. When I arrived at the office I would start my work. Once 
the priorities were completed I worked on my dislikes. Time management courses taught me to manage my time and plan for interruptions, Management reports needed, projections (done daily) or meetings. Management was good for the most part, but changes in management in the States were frequent and unsettling for me and  my staff, that was the hardest part of my job. The best part of the job was keeping very busy, no time to clock watch, the day was done before you knew it, stayed later a bit. I had to finish what was started and the culture worked it`s way to the staff as they worked as hard as I did. For the most part I had good staff and co-workers, we had a good culture and harmonious working surroundings, doing it right the first time is a good set of values and spreads very easily. That was my most enjoyable part of my job, I was one of the few with the experience, I loved to train people, whether it was one of my people or not, if it was done wrong, train them, demonstrate, watch, review and take questions. As I told my boss at the time, I make everyone around me better.

I started with Wells Fargo as Admin. Asst. for the Corporate Administration group and finished my employment as Operational Risk with Operations Group, as I learned about the company I was also moving jobs which consistently put me in a very good position of always learning something everyday.  Well Fargo always believed in Diversity and this showed with the varied employee background.  Wells Fargo Financial is no longer operational and this resulted in termination of my employment.  My co-workers are all considered as family and even with all of us parting ways due to company closure - employees have found ways to get connected- having been this close to each other made coming to work an enjoyable task.  Management have always considered the well being of the employees as they know that happy employees are fulfilled employees.   Management are always doing something to keep everyone happy and involved be it lunches, raffle/draws or events sponsored by the company and in some cases events that employees pay for on their own and happening after work hours - this was consistently participated by everyone which shows how the employees are happy with the company that they work with.

A typical day of work would consist of 30% prospecting, 15% follow up from previous clients 40% service work to ensure we are meeting all our high value business clients needs and 25% sales. I worked with companies around the sales volume of 2MM per year.  I had to maintain current relationships I had in my book of business as well as make sure I am hitting my current sales goals. Things that I currently love about my job are how I have learned the tools needed in order to underwrite a credit decision.  I now understand the importance of an approved credit decision as well as a declined credit decision as well as why it is not always a negative thing to tell a client they are declined.  Sometimes it is better in the long run for that client. I would say the hardest part of my job currently is to leave it at work. I know everything can not be solved in a day, but have a tendency to bring that home with me from time to time.  The most enjoyable part of my job is to my hard work pay off and help out a great client succeed financially!

Being the type of person i am, i quickly found myself being the goto employee as i learned all processes in the branch. This gave more opportunity but also more responsibility such as opening the branch, processing payouts, dealing dealing with head office, ect,  - all areas not in my job description but accepted as challenges excite my competitive nature. Over the next few years, promotions and recognition came my way which opened more avenues and challenges.

Although my duration was a few years at Wells Fargo, the opportunities i was provided was incredible. Operating as the stores Assistant Manager for my last year, i found myself being a top lender in the region and given the Branch role of overseeing the Insurance sales and training all staff to meet their quotas.

Upon Wells Fargo closing all branches in Canada, i was kept on board to assist the branches closing prior to my severance.

Wells Fargo Financial Canada Corp not only understood what project management was but embraced its methodologies and leveraged its tool like no other company I've had the pleasure of working with. 
At times the EPMO may have been a little too restrictive with some of its documentation processes but with process coaches and a review committee changes could be made in both an effective and timely manner. 
Even though there are many siloed departments, the environment was always an open door structure which not only made it easier to build a broad range of project / initiative specialists but also when extra hands were required we just had to ask and endless volunteers came to support us.
Unfortunately the banking crash took its toll and forced the closure of it entire Financial Banking Services arm; else, I would probably still be there.

I learned different aspects of the company helping other department and ability to move to other jobs.I was able to learn finance by helping that department when they didn't have enough coverage. Company is very good to employee's with the benefits and vacations. And works with employee's to accommodate the different start and end times when needed. My job gets to call companies for money and that doesn't always go very well so need to confirm we have a signed lease - sometimes customers not happy or have excuses why payment isn't sent. I love that I continue to learn something new every day. My group go out for lunches, playing pool, bowling. We invite managers from different departments to our monthly meetings to help us learn about other job responsibilities and policies.
