My experience at this company was disappointing overall. There appears to be a long-standing workplace culture that resists change and improvement. In my time there, I observed a lack of motivation, accountability, and effective supervision, which impacts both employee morale and overall operations.
There seems to be limited recognition for experienced tradespeople, and compensation does not reflect industry standards for skilled workers. The work environment felt more suited to entry-level staff, with little structure or support for those bringing experience to the role.
From an operational standpoint, there are concerns regarding maintenance and organization. Equipment and inventory often appear outdated or not properly maintained, and the general condition of the lot and facilities could be significantly improved. These factors may affect both safety and customer perception.
I also observed inconsistent professionalism in customer interactions, which is concerning for a customer-facing business. Creating a more respectful and accountable environment—both internally and externally—would likely benefit the company.
There is potential here, as many of the people are good individuals, but meaningful improvements in leadership, standards, and workplace culture would be necessary for long-term success.

There truly is no typical day here at Western RV. If I am lucky I get one full day of my actual job title which involves entering and signing pre-authorizations, time tickets, registrations, booking new RV walk throughs and answering service calls. We are very busy in the summer time meaning I am needed in every department on some days at  some point whether it is detail shop, service, reception, warranty and even sales. 
I am very used to busy, high-stress environments and have faced every type of customer and fellow employee.I learned not to take anything personally when at the work place, and to just continue on doing whatever your current task may be. I get along great with my co-workers and love them all. Typically, I do get along well with my coworkers and I do my best to avoid any drama. 
The hardest part of my job can be the management. As great as they are individually, they frequently fail to communicate amongst each other which later spells catastrophe for us and the customers. 
The most enjoyable part is literally the staff I work with in the service department for without them I would not be laughing so frequently despite the sometimes back breaking day ahead/behind us. Another enjoyable thing would be the hours and benefits, they really help out. The hours were any hours over 8 hours in one day was overtime.

As a tech they will ask you to drive a company vehicle up to Fort McMurray and then take the keys away from you for an entire week, (including scheduled long weekends and holidays off), and keep you hostage there to be a parts department, a warranty department, the detail person and an on-call service person, while also trying to address anything that the sales people ask of you. “We all have to do things in life that we don’t want to do”, is just their way of saying “Thank-you for all of your hard work”. If four jobs for the pay of only one sounds like something you would be interested in, this is the place. Fortunately all of your hard earned overtime is banked for the month long shutdown in December when you don’t earn anything.

Typical day would be managers overloading people with work. Ruling with an iron thumb. 
I learned a lot. On my own. I figured out a lot of the shipping and receiving procedures myself because I had no support. 
Management was never very supportive and never really had any control over anything. Dont expect to be compensated, either  
The only things that made it worth going to work was the amazing set of technicians who worked so hard and were so patient with the ever changing department and one person in service who made the job easy because we were In the same chaos. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was the relationships I built with technicians and my customers. 

Just like any dealership, they thrive in chaos. 

Lots of laughter throughout the day. Learned new tricks of the trade everyday from knowledgable superiors. Management was a little hard to work around some days. Co-workers always made the day go by fast and fun whilst learning great stuff about the trade. Hardest part of the job was keeping up with the hand-written documentation and paper work while keeping a steady quick pace doing "actual" work. documentation process could be upgraded. I Enjoyed most the knowledge i aquired on a daily basis and the people who taught it to me. Great environment overall.

Seemed great at first and a lot of folks there are very nice and easy to work with but the management has old world ideas, and as much as they say they do, they don’t appreciate family values. If you have any need to take time to tend fo your own family matters, then don’t expect to stay long.
Parts manager needs to retire, and get a clue. When you have good people and take care of them, they in turn help you back. 

I enjoyed my time as a detailer at Western RV. I worked there for a year and loved it. If you are stressed, the manager and/or upper management are willing to sit down and talk with you about it. They are always checking on you and making sure you are all good. 

The staff, in detail, were very supportive in their teaching and very thorough in showing you how they expect things to be done. Makes it easy to understand and learn.  

I would 100% recommend this workplace to anyone looking for a fast-paced environment. The company provides lunch quite frequently, as well as other little treats. They do make you feel appreciated a lot! Their benefits are great as well.

Typical day varies depending on season "mostly" the spring season mostly is prepping for summer where you'll be checking the new trailers as they arrive. Summer season (also know as mayhem) you'll be teaching people how to use and maintain their new trailer, the amount of people per day varies. Fall/Winter are RV show times and your tasks are dependent on needs of the show. Management at my location is honestly the best I've ever had very reasonable. The hardest part of the job is the prepping for customers and the customers themselves, most enjoyable part is customers and learning the ins and outs of RV's

hardest part was doing everyone's job because no one ever accepted responsibility. I had to constantly fight to keep my apprenticeship on track. after I left I had to ask the regional service manager to get my blue book filled out correctly. my pay stayed the same after 3yrs. sure I had a raise. but the end amount stayed the same. so by all means if you want to be under appreciated. underpaid, and overburdened with other peoples work. I would recommend this place but if you have any self respect think twice.

when I started and the dealership was new it was not bad. but as the years went on it slid farther down hill good employees left for better wages and untrained people took their spots. I really enjoyed my coworkers. but the poor management and lack of communication led to a lot of code violations and ultimately management felt no accountability for the quality of work that was being produced. I also saw numerous employees come and go because they felt they couldn't mesh with the group.
