What is the best part of working at the company?
Depending on which area of the building you work in. Staff in certain departments are amazing. The guests are nice and you can enjoy a free membership. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Certain areas of the building the staff and managers are very immature and the staff treat newcomers to their area like they are the supervisor and are condescending.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depending on the area. Club side is like a family. Hotel side has to many staff that will run to the supervisors and act like children instead of adults and solve their own problems. They don’t take responsibility for their actions and blame others. 
And don’t get hurt there because upper management don’t care. They expect you back right away. Also if you get hurt there and need to see a doctor rip off the first page of the forms they give you because they say that they will find you modified work but they don’t really. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very active and busy and social on the club side. Very active and judgemental on the hotel side.

Every shift/function was laid out with our BEO.  Everyone in the Food and Beverage department would always go over each BEO for the day to ensure that everything was in place for the function to be a success.  Everyone no matter what department would always be there to help when needed.  It was a great experience to learn and grow within the department.  To learn what is involved from the first contact with the customer in the sales department to what the planners do to bring the function to light.  Learning all this helped me to understand the guest/company better once they arrived to start their event with me.  The hardest part of the job was staffing.  Availability and requests were always an issue to schedule the staffing needs of each event.  Each event had it's issues but all team members in the department would always work hard to overcome them.  The most enjoyable part of the job was he staff and the guests that came in to hold an event.  The diversity of each event and the great team that we had made each event a great event.

I only worked here for a short time but I loved every bit of it.
CEO is great and hands on with his employees, he does a walk every day to make sure everything is running nicely or if anyone has problems.
My Manger was awesome, she was great with allowing me to have a life out side of work as well and never made me feel guilty about sick or vacation days.
My supervisor was always helpful and was always there to answer questions I had. 
And all other employees, administration and everyone else was always in great spirits and made the work environment less stressful.
I just wish I didn't need to leave you guys.

For years I tried to get into White Oaks and when I finally in 2018 I had my chance to work there was grateful and wouldn't let this once and a life time chance get away from me always showed up on time did my job to the best of my abilities and had fun there, However the hours then continued to decrease, then just a day before my 3 months was up after I was just about to clock out they let me go.
My coworkers where shocked cause they all said I was doing a great job and well they where not happy.White Oaks just uses there employees till they are done with what they needed them to do then well its a sorry but we have to let you go even if you where doing a great job


There were issues with supervisors and other senior staff not being on the same page when directing newer staff but the perks of the job balanced it nicely. They did their best to show their appreciation for staff that were doing a great job. Due to long shifts (2pm-2am) you sometimes only had 8 hrs between the end of a shift and the start of the next. Gratuity added to paycheck brought my hourly pay to around $20-22 per hr

In general white oaks is a wonderful place to work co workers are always ready to help regardless of their position   owner goes out of his way to greet every employee on a daily basis and generally cares for their well-being work can be stressful and challenging but there is always someone whether it's a supervisor or coworker willing to happily help you are definitely in for a one of a kind positive experience working for White oaks 

I love working for whiteoaks and id say that at least 95% of the staff there does too.
Even though people complain, it is a very hard place to leave.
the staff is friendly, the management is helpful and understanding and no matter your department, everyone works as a team.
Although some jobs may be harder than other, for example porters have to do a lot of heavy lifting and servers sometimes have to stay late, i still believe its worth it.

This is probably the BEST place I have ever worked!  The staff is amazing.  The owner is totally invested in his employees and knows every one of them by name and something about their lives too!  He genuinely cares about you and the contribution each team member makes to White Oaks.  Great advancement and varied positions are available.  Ongoing training and rewards are a regular part of your employment here!!!  BEST PLACE on Earth!!!

White Oaks is definitely one of the best places I have worked. They treat their staff very well, rewarding you when you have gone above and beyond and sharing it with the rest of the staff. They have great incentives to want to work harder and want to do better. The benefits have pretty good coverage and the discounts you get throughout the resort are amazing.

I really enjoyed working here and I would recommend. They treat their staff well with good discounts and nice management. They actually staff properly so you don’t feel like you have to do everything and the staff were always great to work with, we were a strong team.
