What is the best part of working at the company?
I was layed off at Wiehler in 2022. At the time, it was a bit of a shock. I enjoyed the atmosphere and customer demographic. The managers were very knowledgeable and always gave me the opportunity to broaden my scope. I was re-hired for an administrative role in 2025 and found that many current employees have returned after working for other companies, like myself. This company is about integrity, high quality workmanship and accountability. As the company grows bigger and more ambitious, it still maintains that family business atmosphere.

Some clients can be challenging 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very accommodating, knowledgeable and  employees are given opportunities to improve. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Make sure all techs are set for the day including relevant information, required materials and address any concerns. Check-in with techs throughout the day to see if they need anything, review estimates and help source parts. Help techs after hours so they always feel supported.

I was hired on with Wiehler during a period where my wife expecting a child within 2 weeks of my hire date. They were super understanding, even to the point where there was no questions asked when I requested 2 weeks off only within a week of working with the company due to the early arrival of our newborn. Wiehler showed genuine care for my wife and I in as far as asking how both my wife and child were fairing to sending us a gift basket to celebrate the little one.

I havent had a company show this much compassion towards my home life. "Culture" isn't just a spoken phrase but something that is auctioned upon.

Management provides all that I need, answers any question I may have.

It was awesome for the first 3-4 months but when the office manager stepped into the role of Service Manager, it all changed very quickly. Highly inappropriate behaviour and relationships  turned a great job into a toxic cesspool. The owners are awesome but really didn’t know what was going on with their “leadership team”.  High stress, promises of training and wage increases never were fulfilled. Classic case of power tripping by people who are incapable of running their own lives. 

I am truly ashamed I took the opportunity to work at Wiehler mechanical. They claim to be the best of the best and encourage learning but that is only a front out on for the interview. Not a single employee there knows their 5 step process, management is cowardly and rely on an undereducated, petty staff member for major decisions. They stress accountability yet take none. Truly a terrible work environment, great if you love gossip and negativity. They set you up for failure as soon as you start, everything down to the work vehicles is bad.

If you care about your career do not apply here. 

Salary and work-life balance are good. 

Management is terrible. They spend too much time micromanaging and not letting people do the jobs they were hired to do. 

They consistently bad mouth team members to each other and clients. 

Overall, the atmosphere is unorganized chaos.
Guys on site never have the info they need and people in the office struggle to communicate efficiently as there are no proper procedures in place. This company has a very reactive, not proactive mentality.

Working here has been a truly positive experience from day one. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the team is incredibly supportive. You can feel the good energy as soon as you walk in—everyone is approachable, encouraging, and genuinely wants to see each other succeed. It’s rare to find a workplace with such a strong, uplifting culture, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

This is a great company if you have the drive to learn new skills, apply them, and work in a team environment. Tons of collaboration with managers, field staff, and clients on a daily basis.
When I voice any concerns I have, I am met with an open door policy and the leaderships team desire to resolve any issues. 

I have enjoyed working at Wiehler Mechanical for 7+ years and many more to come!

Best workplace culture I’ve ever experienced. Management truly cares about you as a person and makes your well-being a priority. If you want to learn and grow and develop, all you need to do is ask. The whole company is filled with great human beings who work hard, want nothing but the best for one another and take care of each other. 

This is not a good place to work. 
Constant revolving door with managers that act based on their emotions and not professionalism. 
They will make it sound like the greatest place to work during your interview but dont fall for it. They stress that family comes first but if you actually put your family first (within reason) you will be treated poorly for it. 
Managers push accountability but take none themselves.


Wiehler Mechanical has a great team and working environment. Excellent management team that treat staff like family and real people rather than numbers. Lots of opportunity for growth and advancement as the company continues to grow
