A typical day would be starting to prepare the shelves to look aethestically pleasing to the customer in which i learned how to correctly display a product, then unloading stocks off of a lorry into the bay and loading the lorry back with storage carts etc... in which i learned good team work skills and gained a physical attribute to unloading heavy stock. Then i would be moved to re stocking and organising the floor shelves, this would require scanning each area for low stock and then heading to the upper floor to gain the stock to then bring it down and re stock the shelves and organise, i gained experience in manual labour (carrying heavy stock) and also noticing which product where more important to re stock. Then i would be moved to bagging at the cashier, helping customers bag their bought products to help with a quicker service, i learned how to work well in a team with the cashier and also good customer service skills. The odd day i would also work on the security cameras, scanning the work floor for potential hazards or criminals operating in the work place, then notifying the head of secuirty to deal with the situation, i learned key skills in working with a team and also how to spot a health and safety measure and how to overcome it. There was no hard part of the job, the most enjoyable part would be either loading and unloading the lorry or replacing stock as i enjoy manual labour.

I worked part-time at Wilko and found it to be a decent experience overall. The pay was competitive, especially for a part-time role, which was a pleasant surprise and one of the main reasons I applied. The team was friendly and supportive, which made a big difference. My colleagues and managers were approachable and always willing to lend a hand when needed, creating a positive work environment.

That said, the work itself was quite monotonous. Most tasks involved repetitive activities like stocking shelves, cleaning, or working the tills, which could get boring after a while. It’s not the kind of job that offers much variety or excitement, so it’s worth keeping that in mind if you’re someone who likes to stay mentally stimulated.

Overall, it’s a good option if you’re looking for a part-time role with decent pay and nice people, but be prepared for the routine nature of the work.

Was a lovely place to work most of the time, always serving regulars, fab pay and staff discount. But manager was quite rude when I had to go for an emergency pregnancy scan. When I asked if I were okay to go I got "so you actually are pregnant then?" which I thought was quite intimidating. I later was let go about a month or so later due to them "not being able to afford to keep me on" which I still don't believe to this day.. but what can you do. Overall, good place to work

I started in 2004, for the first few years it was a very good company to work for. They then rebranded and the company went down hill very fast. They are making the low paid workers redundant all the time while creating jobs that dont exist for the riduculously over paid. I was bullied by staff there after i had a breakdown and nothing was ever done about it, infact i ended up getting sacked.

my daily job role is to serve customers and to treat them with respect and be friendly and helpful.

I work in a team with my colleagues when it comes to cleaning and tidying up the store at the end off the shift and when the shop hours are closed or just before opening. 

I work on the help desk, this is where I help customers with collecting there internet orders and also getting their refunds.

I work mornings on stock replenishment, the staff are nice, management is helpful and willing to train you. if you're looking for a place to work thats a little more easy going than regular retail apply here. The one target my job has is fairly easy to hit and the hours are good for a casual side job, but dont expect to make a living off of this.

My general day to day work at wilko includes serving customers and helping to restock the shelves.
The hardest part of my job is having the confidence to make conversations with different customers.
I learned to work as part of a team and as an individual team member and do things asked by the other staff or managment to complete the tasks that need to be done

It was aright but the management wasn't great, the part of the management lied about things and a member off staff never liked me and give me a hard time

Wilco is a third rate company trying to be first rate. Management is brutal and cheap. They play favorites to  those who are in the click. Very little chances of advancement and everyone is labourer.

I replenished the shelves, after the store had closed for the day. I was given a section to refill, then got the stock from the warehouse. When working during the stores open hours, I helped the customers as much as I could
