Our shifts at work are usually are 4:00-4:30, however they may ask for overtime. Overtime is usualy 1-3 extra hours and they usually ask very early throughout your shift. They also allow you to decline without any sort of negative impact on your work title. 

They teach everyone equally and never once have raised their voices. They help teach what a healthy, productive environment for work is like, and most definitively raises your standards. Everyone is very friendly and are welcoming from the get-go, and most definitely easy to make friends in the environment. No one ever gets mad at you for asking questions, and in fact reccommend you ask. They taught me how to work as a cashier, sales floor worker, fitting rooms and warehouse worker. 

Throughout my shifts, I've noticed they make sure to give me a wide veriety all throughout the store, which keeps me on my feet and excited about work. The workspace's culture is very spirited and welcoming, no matter your skin colour, gender, sexuality or religion, so if they believe you're a good asset, they'll show it. 

Overall, the biggest concern would be the rush hours. They can be overwhelming to us, but the managers make sure to always have workers as "backup" to help with those rush hours. 

I highly reccomend working there if you're a student, but maybe not as an adult. Your shifts may be too short for your liking.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They are very flexible and accepting of circumstances. They are very welcoming and have great training as well. Within a few months I was almost fully trained in all areas of the store and when I needed help the other staff were very helpful and wanting to see me succeed. I’d recommend anyone to work under the TJX company. They’re a great company with great morals and wonderful staff 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I’d say the most stressful part of working here is during Christmas time or any holiday the store gets very busy on cash and can become stressful for people who haven’t experienced this before

The work environment is wonderful staff is very welcoming and work under the great morals that the company imposes. Everyone in the store has a role and is a part of a great team. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I entered the store before opening, and clock in. Then I’d head to the ware house to start my day. We’d receive the truck and un pack it. I’d take my break at my assigned time and once I’d return I’d start putting out the merchandise from the truck. Once my shift was over I’d head home

How managers and all the staff members got along. Incredible. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing was stressful there. I looked forward to working there.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Life a fresh spring day. People friendly and smiling. No gossip. The company wants it to be a nonstress place to work. 
Keep the store neat and clean for customers. I have so much respect for the managers and company. They care about people first. Then profit. They are good at choosing the right employees. Be proud of you work. If a customer breaks something,  no one cares about loss, it's important that the customer is alright. I love that attitude.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrive a bit early to relax, sign in, drink coffee. Check for breaks. Go to assigned area and tidy up. Go to huddle. Return to work assignment.  Attend to customers immediately.  Help out of not busy.  Take breaks and lunches. 
Do not gossip!! Enjoy life. You only have one. Go home afterĥ⁰0⁰

The management structure at this organization is deeply concerning and reflects a fundamental lack of effective leadership. Decisions are made without transparency or consultation, leaving employees feeling undervalued and directionless. Communication from upper management is inconsistent at best, and feedback is rarely acknowledged or acted upon in any meaningful way.

Compounding this issue are the unreasonable working hours expected of staff. Employees are routinely asked to work well beyond their contracted hours with little to no compensation or recognition. This unsustainable workload has a direct impact on morale, mental health, and overall job satisfaction.

The combination of poor leadership and excessive time demands creates a toxic work environment that ultimately drives talented individuals away. For the organization to improve retention and productivity, a serious reevaluation of both its management practices and scheduling expectations is urgently needed.


. There was clear favoritism, and communication was extremely lacking. If there was an issue with performance, it was never addressed directly or constructively.
Our group of eight employees was hired, and only two months later, an additional eight temporary employees were brought in, which created confusion and instability instead of supporting the existing team.
One manager, in particular, lacked the experience and professionalism needed for a management role, especially when dealing with customers. Their approach was surprising and often inappropriate for someone in a leadership position.
Overall:
This workplace would benefit greatly from improved communication, stronger leadership training, and more transparent management practices.

Staff and customers to talk with them. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Little pay or advancement with company or lack of encouragement to stay.  Loyalty is  not really there. I had worked for company for over 10 years and feel disregarded for my good work ethic. When I needed personal leave or went through issues with my life it was disregarded and was treated towards me as gaslighting and abuse

Happy enjoyable  great job interesting and easy to gain great customer service skills. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hard work, independent, fast paced, fun, ease of direction and staff know how to teach and learn from each other

There is a huge emphasis on health and safety, as well as work-life balance. The discount is nice too.

At my store, the layout of products and how they choose to organize them is very confusing. I don’t think it fits into the natural flow of IBI, and looks messy.

Everyone is very nice. Management is very accommodating to scheduling to your availability. Family-oriented feel. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I find the job itself very boring. It mostly consists of moving stock around, picking up after customers, organizing shelves, and hanging clothes.

Friendly environment and people love helping you if you get stuck with any kind of problem

There is nothing stressful until you learn a few new things and keep learning it will be a fun process

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s a fun working day you see and meet new smiles n faces everyday . Its kinda hard to remember people specially when they live far and they come to see you on a particular occasion but they remember you

The manager I was with unfortunately did not understand my work-life balance, and it was a very busy summer for me recently. I was trying to call in on some days off where I was free, but continually got denied hours. And there were times where it was an emergency and I could not come in to work, where I would then be told I had to find a replacement during my emergencies. I did not feel appreciated at this job nor did I feel valued. The management made me feel less valuable than I know I am. I would not recommend this job if you’re in it for long term because they will just end up firing you after the 3 month mark. Didn’t even give me a reason for my fire. Regardless, don’t try here.

a Typical day: you can in and depending on where you're working that day (sales floor, cash register/customer service, or warehouse) you go to your assigned position and tidy it up a bit before opening. Once the store is open you either organize the frontline while waiting for customers or put out merchandise onto the sales floor. I learned a great amount of team work and patience especially when dealing with impatient customers. Management was amazing and really did their job. Very supportive and understanding. Workplace culture is straightforward, incentives to win employee of the month etc.
