‘Every member of the team is valued and recognized for their contributions to the overall success of the team‘ lol I just read this in their current service advisor position advertised and laughed 
100% not true the service advisors are the least appreciated in that place they work their arses off with no thanks or appreciation and the pay plan is a disgrace the potential to earn good money is there yes but every month you’re stressing and worrying that yet another customer will be unhappy over something beyond your control or simply because you were so over worked you forgot to call them and they return a bad survey resulting in the potential major loss of income which has happened many a time 
The team there are all awesome but the service manager lies and manipulates and doesn’t Care one but about his employees 

Zero structure to the running of the place they overbook the shop leaving no time for the advisors to do anything other than try their hardest to play catch up from the min they start work 11-14 hour shifts with not even a break cos you’re just so busy you can’t leave!

I despise having to put a business down, but I have to warn potential employees of making a poor career move. 

A typical day at work would involve may hours of frustration while trying to accomplish your tasks.

I have learned that good support staff is required so that customer's needs are met in a timely fashion, and to make sure the daily operations of a company run as flawlessly as possible. Support staff training is severely under par compared to other similar businesses, and this is all due to the lack of properly trained management.

On multiple occasions I observed that the lack of proper management in the organization has, through the years, allowed a corrupt workplace culture to exist and thrive within it.

The hardest part of the job was watching certain employees get treated very favourably, and others harassed.

The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to help customers with their needs.

 Unless you like bacteria, avoid working in a Petri dish.

Ive been working for the wood auto group for just over a year now and this is hands down the best job I have ever had. I am blessed with the sweetest manager, he is so down to earth and good co workers. I keep to myself, do my job, book off my vacation days when needed and have had absolutely no major issues during my time here. Of course there are always times of minor stress, but that comes with any job title. Fellow employees are extremely supportive and welcoming as well.

We get free lunch every Saturday and get to attend fun events that are held throughout the year (annual golf tournament, winter gala... and so much more.) Our managers do treat us to lunches every so often in between.

If you are looking to advance within the company, there is a TON of room to do so. There are multiple dealerships within the group which opens up the opportunity further giving more options to not only advance within your own department, but to be able to achieve a promotion in any department at any one of the dealerships within the group.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Management has always been a problem being disconnected from the actual problems the employees face. Pretty normal for a dealership. Favouritism, shady things behind the scenes, pushing employees out, constructive dismissal, high turnover. Overworked employees, high stress environment, overbooked service department. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Micromanagement. Too many people giving different directions. Managers believing they know how things work and run under them. Uncertainty about your pay check and not being heard when concerns are raised. Cuthroat between colleagues and manager favourites add to this. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is go until you can’t go no more. Culture is non existent. Look out for yourself no matter what is said or promised. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress when you wake up, hope the day goes good, stress until you sleep.

Like any other company, nothing is ever perfect. That's not to say I don't enjoy the time I've spent here so far. A typical day can be very engaging and productive, which I like as it's not always repetitive, and there's always something new to do to get my hands on. 

Also, my team is fantastic! They've been very supportive of everything I've done throughout the different tasks and projects I've done so far, and I could not ask for more of that. In this regard, I would say the same with the rest of the management. 

Although I believe that we can very much fit in a hybrid schedule for my current role, it's very understandable within this kind of industry to be present in the office at most times.

Overall, I think that The Wood Automotive Group is a fantastic place to work! 

I had an exceptional experience working with Wood Automotive group. The work environment is vibrant, fostering creativity and collaboration. Their dealerships are beautiful and big and modern, but the employees are not happy. Employee morale is low across almost every department, the only people who seem happy are the super long term staff who have been working together for years, and it’s hard to break into the group. This company needs to work on being transparent with their employees, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t know what your what your pay is going to be. Hours are awful and they clearly do not care about their staff. Saturday’s are long days and they don’t give you any breaks as they supply food which you can eat at your desk, which keep in mind, Saturday is a full 8-9 hour day, pretty sure that goes against labour laws. Everyone seems burnt out at this dealership and it makes for an unhappy work place. I never felt i was part of a team here and i wouldn’t come back. HR is good and helpful, but i think they are limited to what they can do. Benefits are on par with other dealerships

As a flat rate technician just know you will not appreciated.. they will play it off like you will make hours. But unfortunately and which is becoming all to common in this industry.. you do not get paid what you are deserved.. you will never see a raise.. even if you become a master technician. You will be asked to work longer hours without having anything to show for it. Management just wants bodies regardless if the people actually know how to do the job properly. I heard some poor things about this automotive group and I have mostly been proven correct. As someone looking for employment if you decide to work here.. I would demand very good pay or don’t even bother. And it’s across all departments. And anyone who says otherwise either doesn’t know what they are talking about or needs a reality check. Not worth your time, employees are disposable and you're treated as such. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No structured training, inconsistent procedures so you will be told one way to do something then get in trouble for doing it that way. Don't bother asking for help because management doesn't care. No feedback is given either, so you don't know if you are doing well, and you will be micromanaged by fellow employees even though they are not in a supervisor position. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Normal level of drama for a dealership, but don't bother doing anything to go above and beyond because it will not be appreciated or even acknowledged.

Everything about this place was very unprofessional. I have been in the industry for 10 years and as you can imagine, there are good and bad dealers. This one is definitely a bad one. Management literally praised sales people and finance staff for their abilities to deceive good paying customers. How so? they literally had trophies in their board room upstairs with the named of the people involved in those specific deals on them. Unless you want to work somewhere ONLY for free lunch on Saturday's, I would stay as far as possible away from this crooked place.
