What is the best part of working at the company?
Working Remotely is only plus...being able to not have to commute to and from work is the only thing that is appealing about this job.  The only real positive is the remote aspect, which allows you to work independently. Beyond that, there is little meaningful support from management. Communication tends to be one-directional, with employee feedback and concerns often going unaddressed.

Team leadership appears limited in their ability to provide guidance or advocate for employees, as the focus is strictly on enforcing policies rather than supporting development. There is also a noticeable lack of transparency around job security, which can create uncertainty within the role.

Overall, while the flexibility of remote work is a benefit, it is outweighed by a lack of support, limited growth, and a disconnect between employees and leadership.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working at this company is the lack of leadership, structured training, and clear communication. Expectations are often unclear, and there is minimal guidance or support from management, making it difficult to feel confident in your role.

Communication from leadership is inconsistent, which leads to confusion, inefficiencies, and added daily stress. Additionally, there is little flexibility for basic needs—employees may feel discouraged from taking necessary breaks, including using the restroom, due to concerns about lost pay.

Overall, the lack of support, training, and communication creates an unnecessarily stressful work environment.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
As a remote employee, there is little to no sense of work environment or company culture. Most work is done independently with minimal interaction or team connection. While the autonomy can be a positive for those who prefer working on their own, it also highlights the lack of engagement and overall culture within the company.


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day is stressful, repetitive, and unsupported. You spend most of your time handling frustrated customers who often take that frustration out on you, with little to no backing from management. The work itself is monotonous—essentially repeating the same scripted responses over and over, with no real need for critical thinking.

There is minimal support when issues arise, and the role offers little challenge, growth, or opportunity to develop new skills. Overall, it quickly becomes a cycle of stress, repetition, and disengagement.

Xperigo overall is a great place to work. There have been many changes over the years, but at the end of they day the changes have all been centred around continuous improvement. 

I did not plan to work here for more than 1-2 years, but I have build a long term career here and do not plan to leave anytime soon. For those truly looking to learn and grow, there  are endless opportunities. I have noticed that people who think they are limited in their role are because they have a negative, or close minded mindset. You will have trouble growing at any company if you approach your growth with that mindset. 
Xperigo has supported me endlessly over the years by investing money and time in my professional development, applying the company's culture to real life situations, monthly pension matching helping me set up success in my retirement and helping me see how far I can go in my career and what I am truly capable of. 

I really do think this is an amazing place to work. Like any company, there have been times that were more challenging or stressful than others. However, challenges are met with recognition, support and a light at the end of the tunnel. The recent organizational changes have been very positive for the company and it is really nice to be with an organization that does not accept complacency.

If you like to be challenged, grow and learn a lot this is a great place to look.  

What is the best part of working at the company?
I got a lot of experience outside of the initial scope of my role.  I took on many stretch opportunities and learned so much during my time.  I would say the experience was truly transformative.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Don't let the awards fool you.  You will not be promoted based on merit.  Working harder, more hours and more arduous shifts will not benefit you in any way.   Other individuals will be encouraged instead of you if they fit the executive vision  (appearance-wise) and stroke someone's ego correctly.  You will still be given more work, just no pay or compensation for it.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is a history of bullying, quiet firing, firing people without cause when there is none to avoid severance (please always see a lawyer), inconsistent leadership (they have no training for managers/leaders), and work hours can vary.

They occasionally have fun events/parties, and the staff themselves are mostly pretty cool people. However, there's just a terrible power imbalance and no ethics here.  It's okay for a short stint if you're desperate and don't plan on staying.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
 I spend a lot of time trying to cover my desk so my boss can't blame me for things I didn't do. I also document the times that credit is given to others for my work. 
If you meet with your leader, feedback will be vague, marginally threatening and non-specific.

It is an okay place to work if you don't mind working weekends and stat holidays. Expect to be working every Sat and Sun and most stat holidays. You will work yourself up to better shifts, then be trained in something new, and then back to the bottom again. 

Don't be surprised when you are placed on queues that you never expected and without any prior warning other than the call coming in. This is very common, mostly translation calls (not enough French agents), but can also be queues that you are not trained in.

Requesting time off to go to medical/dental appointments is not suggested. Just take the time as personal to save yourself frustration of being declined.

Communication is lacking. The most common phrase seems to be "Ask your team lead." 

Don’t be negative about anything. Do not report juvenile behaviour of senior agents to your lead or you will be labelled by all.

If I had been given the above advice before working there, I would have been much better prepared to deal with the frustrations that come along with the job instead of having to learn the hard way. If I had, I may not have left. 


What is the best part of working at the company?
You can work from home and they give you computers to use while you work with them….. that’s about it. The lunch room at the office is really nice!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Absolutely everything. The managers have no idea what’s going on and are VERY cliquey. You have barely any direction in your work and are expected to just take whatever abuse that customers fire at you. If you ask questions to the ‘helper team’ you will get 10 different answers. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic. Extremely toxic. I was only there a year before I couldn’t take it anymore. The two times I met head management, they were loaded drunk. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lots of stress, probably some tears.

Doing roadside assistance was stressful during winter months and a lot of system issues so you would get yelled at a lot by customers and sometimes very hard calls to handle (people stuck in the winter with 24-48 hour wait for service after waiting over an hour to get a hold of us, not being able to find where people are located, ex. on the highways, accidents and just rude people in general) but the management was great when I was there. It was a fun place to work and I loved my coworkers and the environment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Learning new things such as roadside assistance. Google and other operational systems.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Learning to distribute to appropriate locations for service when you have incomplete addresses. Remembering to be empathic at all times

They do a great job helping you grow within the organization, supporting you any way needed and aiding you to develop as much as possible. If wanted, you can have a long career with Xperigo and work your way up within the company. 
Everything they do is tied to improving culture and continuous improvement, If you want to find a company to grow with at any level and feel supported I highly recommend applying. 

Management sucks, they are all friends with each other and some should be on the phones taking calls cause that's all they know. They avoid you when you have questions. Pretend to be a caring person but are cold and just waiting for you to mess up. Don't like to approve time off for appointments or family emergencies. Won't take escalation calls. Penalize you when you call in sick. Fire you if they know you are looking for another job.
