ZS Associates is a management consulting firm, and the majority of its business in Toronto is focused on the pharmaceutical industry.  

A typical day at ZS is impossible to describe since the work is incredibly varied, challenging, yet rewarding.  Like most management consulting firms, the hours can be long and unpredictable at times, however, this is made up for in the great experience quickly gained by all.

ZS has been able to maintain a small company entrepreneurial feel despite now growing to nearly 6,000 employees worldwide as of 2019.

I would highly recommend ZS to anyone looking for management consulting experience, analytical challenges, and healthcare industry exposure.

The culture is generally collaborative and team-oriented, with a strong focus on analytical rigor and delivering measurable results. However, like many consulting firms, work hours can be demanding, especially during peak project cycles. The fast-paced environment may not suit everyone, but it offers substantial growth for those who thrive under pressure.

I was only part time so this review only speaks to part time, administrative duties. The frequent performance reviews are actually really nice because they really care about your needs and my supervisors were always open to feedback.

Enjoyed working here but last couple of years have been sad and bad. There is uncertainity and the management is not helping. I am not sure if we are headed in the right direction

Friendly employees and supportive management. Can get a bit challenging with demanding clients. But overall a good experience. Employee-friendly and lots of benefits

Many chances to work with fairly senior clients on strategic issues. Very flat meritocratic culture with lots of opportunities for advancement.

It is a fun place to work at, people are friendly :) However the work is only in pharma market, so you need to be sure that you really like pharma market to join
