While this company is a good place to work, it is your team members that make the experience worthwhile. Like all corporate companies, upper management (the board, c-suite, SLT) prioritizes the clinics above all else. If you work in the support center, you are not high on their priority list. Unfortunately, your management team may not always prioritize your needs, as they must align with the SLT’s directives.

I loved my direct manager because she never micromanaged, was always available to help, and kept the team on track and informed about changes. However, she had to navigate the expectations of our Director and CPO. The reason I stayed with Dentalcorp for so long was the team members (Coordinators, Specialists, Analysts, Generalists) I worked with. Everyone, both on my team and interdepartmentally, was open to helping however they could. The team dynamics were a refreshing change from other companies I’ve worked for.

The hours are manageable if you’re not involved in projects or if your team is large enough; otherwise, expect to spend a lot of unpaid overtime. However, I gained a tremendous amount of experience in various sectors during my time here because I was part of such an integral period for the company. Overall, the people make working here worthwhile, but I would caution against placing blind faith in management. Like all corporations, you are still just a number and could be let go if budget cuts are necessary, regardless of your perceived value.

Working at Dentalcorp has been nothing short of exceptional. From day one, the onboarding process was seamless and incredibly well-organized.

Despite the size, it never feels bogged down by red tape. I feel empowered and trusted. I became uncomfortable in the stressful, deceptive environment, which created an environment of distrust, originating from  the corporate leaders.Employees were therefore often overworked, confused and unable to follow through with effective quality care.There is a  sales strategy which consists of getting new acquisition at any cost. Most disappointing is the unqualified group from C suite , little actual education in understanding corporate functional leadership and knowing little about 'best practice' for their patients.
Initially, Dentalcorp will offer a hefty salary, however, you will not remain for long because you will burn-out due to the stressors put upon you by the inept leaders of this company.
My advice is to Stay Away. This is not a company that values employees and are basically driven by money.

I strongly advise dental professionals to steer clear of this corporation. The management structure is not only dysfunctional but actively toxic. Dentists and other team members are regularly manipulated and taken advantage of, with little to no regard for their well-being, professional autonomy, or long-term career growth.

There is an overwhelming lack of transparency from upper management, and decision-making is often based on profit over patient care or employee support. Corporate leadership prioritizes numbers over people, and if you voice concerns or advocate for yourself, you're seen as a problem rather than a professional with standards.

The turnover rate speaks for itself—dentists, hygienists, and front office staff frequently leave or are driven out. Work-life balance is nonexistent, and the pressure to upsell or meet unreasonable production goals creates a toxic environment for both employees and patients.

This is not a place for anyone who values ethical practice, team respect, or stability. Worst management structure I’ve ever encountered. Do not work for this corporation.



Dentalcorp is an ever growing company with patient care as it's focus.

As a practice manager, my day to day job fluctuates with the needs of the practice. I have great deal of independence in decision making, but there is always support available if needed. We learn from each other by having weekly meeting with other practices in our regions and genuinely feel like part of a bigger team.

Dentalcorp is continually improving the support to their practices, offering teams to assist with HR related needs, sourcing talent, finance, marketing, continuing education, discounted pricing on consumables and so much more. In the 8 years that I've been with them it is obvious that their goal is to continue to find ways to support their practices. They take on some of daunting behind the scenes tasks so that we can focus on our patients.

 For example, having the support of dentalcorp throughout the pandemic was paramount in our ability to navigate the constant changes to IPAC guidelines and allowed us to remain open to deal with patient emergencies.

If you enjoy being a part of a team who truly wants to work together to make a difference this is a great place to work.



A typical day at work was mentally exhausting, not because of the job itself — which I was very capable of doing — but because of the toxic environment. I was excellent at my role, highly organized, and consistently went above and beyond, but instead of being supported or appreciated, I was bullied and undermined.

There was a clear culture of favoritism, gossip, and fake professionalism. Staff were encouraged to compete instead of collaborate, and building friendships or even basic trust was discouraged. Management either turned a blind eye to the toxic behavior or directly contributed to it. Concerns were dismissed, and those who spoke up were often targeted.

I learned how strong and resilient I can be under pressure, but at the cost of my own well-being. The hardest part of the job wasn’t the work itself, but navigating the constant negativity, backstabbing, and dishonesty.

The only enjoyable part of the job was interacting with patients — and the friends that we’re made but NOT allowed, they were the reason I stayed as long as I did. Sadly, the toxic workplace culture made it impossible to thrive or feel safe.

A typical workday is very pleasant as there is no drama, and everyone on the team works hard and well together.

I am continuing to learn and grow here, and learn that if I need assistance not to hesitate to reach out as there is a great network within the company.

The best part about working here (for me) is that the management is very hard working and motivates and inspires me to do the same. There is open communication and lots of support.

The most difficult part of this job would be the hours. I am a single working mom so it can be a bit challenging with work life balance, but it is not the fault of the workplace or company. The job requirements were very transparent, and I chose to accept the terms. There is some flexibility and I love that! I make it work regardless and am happy here.

The most enjoyable part of this job is that I feel valued, I receive recognition for the work that I do. I love that the management is approachable and that the team here is like family. 

I work in the support center under the umbrella of the finance department. Since I live quite a distance from the support centre, I have been accommodated to attend a reduced number of days per week. 
My team is accepting and supportive, uses my skills and knowledge for our initiatives, and has taught me many finance and accounting based concepts. 
My manager, senior manager and senior director are open and communicative,  and I have regular meetings with each of them, tracking projects that I lead or am working on, and coaching me along the way. They care that I am on the right path and track my success. I believe that they want me to be successful.
I feel I have really grown in my time here. 
The most challenging part of this job for me has been learning more about finance, and the most pleasurable part has been stretching sharing my industry knowledge to impact the goals of this organization.

Working with dentalcorp has been the best career move in my life ... and I've worked with some great companies!

My work days are quite varied. 

Some days I work on strategies for growth, while others I'm out connecting with the teams in the field. 

I've also worked quite a bit on transitions ... whether it's Dentists retiring, implementing new programs for Patient Care, or introducing new roles in the Practices, such as Practice Managers and Team Leaders. 

I've learned a lot about the Dental Sector and how we can amplify the Patient Care Agenda. My financial acumen has increased due to my exposure to higher level executives, and direct contact with the CEO, COO, CFO, the Business Development Team.  

It's an exciting job!

I truly believe that you can establish yourself as a Leader and build a great Career.

I've been in Practice Management for 30 years and this is the first company that I truly feel respected and allows me to have a healthy balance between work and life!  With generous vacation time, ability to take time when i need it and with the team having an attitude of helpfulness it really makes a huge difference in my life and my stress level.  Dental Corp pays very well, they recognize talent and they reward such. 

I'm at the end of my career, so it's a perfect fit, but if I was young and beginning my dental career I'd pick Dental Corp as there is free training, generous support and wonderful opportunities for advancement and growth or even to move within Canada.  Few private dental offices or other corporations offer the same.  After being in dentistry both as a Consultant and as a Manager, I'm more than confident in recommending this company at any age or any stage of your life!
