Terminating employment on someone the day before Christmas sais a lot about this company on a whole.  

Policies and procedures are implemented but not followed.  Everything with this company is a diversion from the reality of stability. Save yourself from wasting time. You won’t get very far here. 

If you are lucky to get in or advance to a higher position, it’s only because they need to put the blame on someone else to save their own hide. Management doesn’t like to be called out on their lack of experience or common sense.

Knowledge is no longer power - Sleeping your way to the top is how things work now these days I guess.

Office drama is the best for entertainment and to pass the time however this place appears to be more of a daycare centre than a trucking freight company. It’s quite the lumper. 

If you are a person that up stands up for what’s right, you will be escorted out the door without reason or explanation. 

Best to avoid working for this place all together. You’ll thank me later. Low wage jobs are a dime a dozen. You won’t be missing out on much should you decide to work elsewhere. 


i was in charge of perusing the hold account inbox and solving the problems of clients/debtors whose money is currently in a hold account. i would then compare invoices and cheques to resolve issue. 

unfortunately, i was let go without cause due to “not a good fit” one week before my 1 year working there. I had no warnings or knowledge that I was being spoken about by HR. i feel employees should receive warnings or at least meetings to know what they are doing so they can improve.  Completely blindsided. In addition , I received a bad reference from management and that was extremely disappointing. I received a work contract but upon receiving the ecapital reference, they took the youth counselling job away due to the negative things that were shared about me by someone i thought would be positive reference. 

Please be careful when applying to this place. You must have great mental health and supportive people in your life. Because this job will push you to your max.

And make sure that you and your kids are healthy 100% of the time. Taking sick days is frowned upon as it is considered "poor attendance." I know several people that were fired for sick days. I'm hoping they are going to consider legal action. 

The training doesn't cover a fraction of the job that is expected of you and you will be blasted for getting things wrong. They will change the processes and then come down on you for not knowing the new process. 

You will also be overworked immediately. Set impossible goals for you even though you tell them that their expectations are impossible. They just don't care. 

YOU WILL BE OVERWORKED. ENDLESSLY. AND NO ONE WILL CARE.

They will buy random lunches and have a big Christmas party to keep people complacent. But I'd rather be appreciated daily rather than once a year. 

I was surprised! As a new employee starting at a new company you never know what to expect. Everyone, beginning from day one introductions, training and management is so respectful, helpful and always there to answer any questions. Even higher up management is supportive and respectful of their employees. The rewards and recognition program is very encouraging, monthly lunches for entire staff and the personalized hand written appreciation notes are one of a kind. The support that is given to employees is quite amazing, you are always supported and encouraged by the managers and assistant managers. In office or floor treats, coffee, cookies and such are a treat. Monthly lunch is appreciated as not many companies in this area do that. 
To sum it up, highly recommended employer, I am lucky to be a part of this team.

When I started working at eCapital; it was an amazing place to work. In the last 6 months, it has very quickly gone downhill. We are overloaded, overworking, understaffed and underpaid. Customer Service management is amazing but anyone above them don’t care about their people, they just care about shoving as much on to us as they can and then shaming us when things aren’t done all while providing no support. They change procedures and processes constantly and then belittle you if you forget. The computer systems we use on a daily basis are faulty and almost always have issues (crashing, extremely slow). I would highly advise against applying to eCapital. 

When I started with this company, I could see a bright future and growth within the company...fast forward about 6 months, lay offs happen with no warning, when they say they are done with the lay offs, they continue to do them, expect no room for growth as if you are in there "highschool' clique you will not advance, they promise internal promotion just to hire externally and give unacceptable  reasons as to why you didn't get chosen, they add more and more work and don't pay people living wages. 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

eCapital is by far the best employer you will ever find. Management is kind, caring, supportive and motivating. You are appreciated for everything that you do for the company, you are provided with everything that you need to be successful. There is opportunities for growth and development within the company, not limited to the department you are in. Hours and benefits are phenomenal, very flexible and accommodating. Proper COVID-19 protocol. Overall a fantastic place to work and I would recommend to everyone to apply, you cannot find a better employer, coworkers and management team. 

No job security and management acts like immature children. 
Colleagues were great and personable. But managers would bring their kids and dogs into the office building and expect their employees to baby sit/ dog sit while completing all required daily tasks. Expect to hear dogs barking, and running around the office. Expect children crying and running around screaming while you try your best to focus on work.
The company exploits canadian tax benefits by consistanting having positions open to hire more people. Therefore, expect to see group lay-offs every year. 

Hands down the best place to work. Management is super supportive and encourages your growth, whether it be within your department or exploring different jobs in the company. They are always willing to help you do your best. The job itself is very relaxed and low stress. The company as a whole is amazing. They provide company wide lunches regularly, and not just your typical pizza! The Christmas party is next level amazing and the company gifts employees as well. They are not quick to terminate employees based on performance, they will work with you to improve. 

I loved this company and job so much. I moved out of province and they helped accommodate my move and worked with me to work remote from my new home. This was definitely a company and job I recommend! Management is so fun and so easy to ask for help from and working on a team that will drop what they are doing to assist is so wonderful. I often think about going back part time just cause I miss the environment of the company and the wonderful Christmas party there is also Christmas presents which is so fun!
