This company is still going through major restructuring, and I was a casualty of that restructuring. The simple reason why? They are very badly managed form the top down. Upper management of this company have no clue about the various markets across North America and the overall customer requirements and expectations. They are not good with managing through transformations and have essentially crashed sales and careers due to the ridiculous sales and management expectations. The company since becoming nVent Thermal from Pentair has lost their way and the weak management have lead the downfall The Thermal side of the business continues to bleed dollars for almost 2 years now and all of these managers from the CEO down are still there!! Why? While roughly 1000 individuals, more specifically good sales people are unemployed. Don't work here, they don't value good people and performance. You either conform and become a "Yes" man or you're out regardless of productivity

When I got my job offer I looked at reviews and saw they were very good. Started and quickly saw that they were deserving of it. Everybody who I worked with was so helpful in training me and helping me grow personally and professionally that I came out of my 6 month contract feeling like I had years of growth in such a short time. This company pushes you to be your best. And they are very happy to help you accomplish your goals. My manager even said to me "if you don't grow in your time here I failed you" 

The work itself is alright, but the people definitely make this one of the top places to work at. Everyone has very different personalities, but they all mix perfectly and never before have I had such high morale and been so excited for Monday. If you get an offer here, congratulations. You're in for a very good job

Also Fridays are half days so every weekend feels like a long weekend

Have a team for several years , and without any products released. Management only wants to show to their boss that they are using Agile, and no one cares  when  the product will be released. 
Management and PM set hard deadline for the R&D team , which is unreasonable. When the deadline can not be met , they find someone to blame, but never themselves.  Typical , right?
PM keep asking for more features which no one wants to buy during the development. No one can push back and said NO. 
 

Working at nVent has been a great experience. Everyone is very welcoming and they quickly made me feel like I was part of the nVent family. There are several social events in the company, including potlucks, holiday celebrations, and friendly competitions, such as best pumpkin carving on Halloween, ping pong tournament, etc. nVent also provides excellent customer service. It's a very positive and respectful environment.

Management are all liars. Tell new people that there’s a signing bonus, and then once your done your probation you get nothing. If your gunna work here good luck but if they tell you or offer you something make sure you get it in some form of writing, otherwise you get the classic “this is the first I’m hearing about it”. Yea the pay is good, but the pension is a complete joke. You’ll be working until your on your death bed. 

This place is a worker’s nightmare . Management does not care in the least about anyone. You are always look n behind your back to see how there go n to try n to do you over. I liked the people I worked with good guys

This could be a good job. Unfortunately it is very poorly managed. The morale here is pathetic. There is no growth. They don’t care about people. You are just a number, family life means absolutely nothing too them.

I miss working at Nvent. The staff and management were amazing and very respectful. Opportunities for growth. Good benefits. Amazing company events. Appreciation for good work and good incentive system.

Really enjoyed my time with nVent, local management was great. My only gripe was with my manager from Houston, she didn’t understand our local processes and workflows. Didn’t provide much for mentoring.

All in all it was a good work environment and I regret leaving
