The management at this company is absolutely awful. They offer no support, do not cooperate, and provide zero guidance. Instead, they always have a bad attitude and seem more focused on putting employees down rather than helping them succeed. The workload is manageable, but the work environment is chaotic and mentally exhausting.

They don’t pay for overtime, yet expect you to stay late into the night without any recognition or compensation. The Environmental Department is a complete mess—totally disorganized and lacking structure. Technicians are not provided with the necessary training, and you’re expected to perform at a high level with little to no resources.

On top of all this, management constantly makes passive-aggressive comments and threats of termination, creating a toxic atmosphere where employees feel undervalued and constantly on edge. It’s an extremely stressful and discouraging place to work. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Soil engineer is a torture company. They treat their employees  as slaves .The management is very bad and rude. Extremely poor training. They only care about the work . The supervisors and management dont care about you. Worst work experience ever. Never ever work in this company. No overtime is payed . The supervisors will simply keep you working in the office for several hours after a 12 hour long shift and you dont get paid for those extra hours. Worst company ever ! .

Working as a Field Technician is an easy job with little stress but it is physically demanding. A typical day at work is about 12 hrs a day Monday to Friday and weekends if the contractor works. You learn to identify soils, communicate professionally with Consultants, supervisors and project managers.  Learn to perform quality control work to insure that proper standards are met. The hardest part of the job is the hours the most enjoyable part is the people you meet.

The company has very loyal employees, workload is manageable, has a friendly environment and the company offers a lot of free lunches. Overall, the firm offers a worthy experience especially in the area of environmental and geotechnical engineering.

I worked with contractors supervising water main and sanitary pipe installations at various construction sites in and around Toronto based on blueprint reference drawings. I did soil and asphalt compaction testing and sampling. I did computer data entry, AutoCAD and technical reporting to upper management.

The company ventures on soil exploration investigation and management.  At soil engineers ltd. most work are done in the field since its main task is cover inspection of soil compaction/density in accordance the Ontario regulation.

They only give a Contract job, for new joinee, and also give minimum industry pay, good working hours during summer but no work in winter, project manager is smart but do not give efforts for employees career growth,

Best company to learn geotechnical engineering . Managers and coworkers were all supportive.

This company doesn't care what you do for them they just want what ever money you can make them. They dont care how good you are at your job, their favorite saying is all they need is a worm body scare crow to do the work.

The company itself is good. However, the field technician position can be a bit strenuous. You use your own car and well it's upto you if you want to get insurance but this can be risky and annoying. It's good experience though for the start.
