Exciting brand but culture needs some work.
I learned a ton working with some very smart people to solve really cool problems. Downside is limited guidance and development from senior leaders. Vague job descriptions result in heavy scope and massive workload with very little work/life balance.

It felt like they had never run a company before
Not only do you receive little pay for the work you do but you are worked like a dog. They barely give you shifts and when they do the hours are so all over the place (ex. 6am start or 1am end). I received no training whatsoever and when I asked questions I was rushed. Management didn't have any idea what was going on and seemed to be on their phones the whole time giving you little to no direction.

Get Ready to Be Bullied
The culture at Aritzia is the most toxic I've ever been a part of. Everyone competes for sales as you won't be able to work if you do not meet sales targets per day.

fun seasonal opportunity
I was chosen as a markdown helper for Aritzia, that basically means that I helped only on specific occasions. For example, they emailed me to come in on boxing day to help with tagging clothing, and cleaning the store overnight in order to prepare for the next days sales. Given this opportunity i learnt the basics rounds of stock.

productive place to work, with great staff
Aritzia is a cool place to work if you want to feel like your actually part of a business with important work to do, even if you're just selling clothes.

A typical day requires a person to be ready to start at 6am in the morning to distribute items to be delivered to their locations in time

Horrible and Stressful
Great Training, Hard to balance life and work. Nice working with product you like. Management will give you a really hard time when struggling with sales instead of helping

Toxic workplace
Very poor work life balance along with fear based leadership made experience difficult. Work always had to come first, especially in management roles. Training was very good and very positive and taught me a lot of skills

Great if you don't intend on moving up.
Stand up for your rights or get fired. Great co-workers. Poor management. Hardest part of the job? Proving your worth.
ProsVery generous store discount (not applicable for males)
ConsPoor management.
