Great Co-Workers | Management Emphasis on Quality
The job culture was good with regards to the employees that you work with. They become like family to you, even when you transfer to different facilities within the city. Management always emphasizes the quality of service, which can sometimes get a little stressful as expectations are set fairly high

Productive and hard working place
Working as a student team lead for the horticultural, specifically IPM department, helped me become a stronger and more effective leader. I definitely enjoy working with my team and foreperson. The workplace is very friendly and welcoming.

productive and fun workplace.
Able to have the freedom to find odd jobs and work at my own pace but also challenged to complete tasks in a limited time. Always able to keep busy with a variety of jobs to keep the work place interesting.

Customer Service/Sales Representative | Chinguacousy, ON | Mar. 11, 2018
Parks and recreation was a great first job.
I typically served the public with services such as rental equipment, food and refreshments and paddle boat attendant. I learned how to handle and problem solve when there is a high amount of volume in customers at one time. Management was always helpful with making sure that the seasonal part time jobs in the winter would transition into a job for the summer. The hardest part of the job was to be working three jobs at once to fulfill the needs of the public during busy hours. The most enjoyable part was working with the staff in city of brampton in chinguacousy.

What would you suggest City of Brampton management do to prevent others from leaving?
Asked May 1, 2019
Learn about employee recruitment & retention...stop posting so many casual part time - seasonal contract positions (especially in your parks & rec dept as this field needs more full time career opportunities). I do not understand the need for municipalities to give salaries above $60, 000 to their ft employees while their front line workers make $14/hr and are under contracts where the city has stipulated these roles as casual (0-up to 20 hrs per week; what is 0 hrs per week? that's not a job that is called volunteering!).
Answered Jun. 5, 2019
I would recommend more benefits to temp staff, Also show long time reoccurring temps more respect in terms of being able to apply for other districts , rather then just one application for all parks maintenance over 5 areas. add field recreation as a different class of title other then parks keeper 3
