This is the most disorganized company I have ever worked for. Practically nonexistent communication, managers that have no idea what they’re doing with the simplest of tasks. Complaining about not having enough time to get things done but spending half their time at work on social media, watching videos. Scheduling is an absolute nightmare and head office couldn’t be more disconnected and unaware of their stores problems if they worked on another planet. Scolding employees for doing things they do right in front of them and they spend most of their time attacking the employees who assert themselves while the slackers get away with doing the bare minimum. Literally work anywhere else, this isn’t worth your time or effort. 


A typical day for me at the warehouse is to come in and have my manager not there to support the team. You then decide what you're going to do for the day - sit on your butt or work (both are acceptable). When you work hard to pick and pack orders your effort and hard work is never acknowledged, so there is no point to doing so. Don't expect any sort of raise, even after a year you will hear excuses while office staff continue to receive more money but have 1/3 of the travel expense due to work from home. Expect to be invited to Christmas parties only to be uninvited due to being "warehouse staff" and be promised time and a half for working holidays, and then not receive it. If you want to be guided by a clueless manager and work for a bunch of old people with more money than sense, 180 is for you!

The commission structure they love to flaunt is also really easy to lose. they added even more ways to lose it, don't chase the carrot. Respect yourself and work for somewhere that will actually respect and appreciate your contributions. Their feed back isn't constructive. It just tries to make you sell more to people who aren't in position to spend as lavishly as they hope.
Are you a hard worker? They will exploit that and wont notice the effort until it isn't practiced. The thanks or good jobs are in short order, but the reprimands are plentiful.

180 had some great management, a really strong atmosphere, good products and informative workers higher than you that actually knew the products they stand by and sell, unlike some of their competitors. 
Training provided by 180 was informative as well, if you needed assistance with just about anything you could contact them. Incentive program was probably my favorite part of the job because you could up-sell to any of our customers with juices, devices, etc that you would earn something from. I would receive my bonus and be surprised at how much I made...it was a great company to work for minus the wages but the incentives made up for that...largest vape company that has grown in such a short period of time.

The role envisaged the supervision of overall finance and accounting, review of accounting transactions duly covering all the intricacies of the business. The management is ethical, professional and very friendly, everyone works as a team and projects are completed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. The implementation of the new system and procedures in the retail environment was always a challenge as all team members needed to be trained to understand the new system which was necessary for internal controls. It was delightful to see the company grow with everyone's team effort and gave us a sense of accomplishment.

Poorly managed , very poor pay you really are better off anywhere else. You would most definitely make more money working at McDonalds. Exceptional workers beware! Just do the bare minimum or even less so! Your pay will always be much lower then your worth, and you will only receive lies about raises or promotion to keep you going until you realize the lies. Giving effort whether it be minimal or exceptional will not be distinguished. Management is completely deluded and out of sync with reality, and rely on you to do it all expecting to be recognised.

If you're looking for true opportunities for lateral advancement within a company that values an entrepreneurial-mindset, 180 Smoke is for you. Traditional business values with new-age techniques and management that genuinely cares about those at the storefront-level. Whatever background you come from, 180 Smoke values you! We have people from all walks of life: from bad experiences to good, 180 understands that life hits from all different directions. Definitely recommend this company!

As a passed employee of this company, I have learned many things. I have learned that everyone is out for themselves, it’s a cut throat company who not only makes you train the person who will be taking your spot once you are gone. Their HR does nothing about personal complaints when it comes to dealing with co worker issues. I was basically forced out due to my depression taking over, I even mentioned it to HR all they could say was “I talked to them, they said nothing happened.” I do not recommend working for this company, and if you do stay in the stores. Head office is cut throat.

I had joined 180 Smoke around the time of it's inception and it grow very rapidly. The team was always very hungry to succeed and grow. The management was strong if a little hectic, but that was sort of required given how fast everything moved.

Management wanted the most out of you but was very accommodating which you don't usually get!

The staff was solid and friendly too!

I was sold on the sizzle, not the actual steak.  Things started off great, told I was going to be working on a variety projects (expansion across Canada, Cannabis market, etc...), clearly, no one saw COVID-19 coming.  Although COVID-19 took over, a number of downsizing decisions where made before the official lockdown, so job description completely changed.  Was shown the door with no real reason, even after asking for specific examples to take away and work on.

Wouldn't recommend wasting your time there, very clique based environment, if you don't fit in right away, you're immediately on the outside of the bubble looking in.
