What is the best part of working at the company?
Management is a mess. Payment is inconsistent. Took 4 months after I quit for them to finish paying me. Commission is only 10%, and there is no other compensation or support for gas or wear and tear on car. Home Depot associates are focused on lead quantity not quality so they don’t care if the leads are any good. You end up wasting a lot of time/gas going to people’s homes only to find out they weren’t even serious because they just wanted the free consultation. There was a 6 week period where they didn’t pay me in the summer and the AC in my car blew and I had no money to fix it because they hadn’t paid me. I was told that averages worked like this: 10 appts/week, closing ratio of 70%, average ticket of $2700. So commission rate being 10%, we’re getting an average of $270 per sale, with an average of 7 out of 10 of those appts resulting in a sale. Which means 270x7 = $1890/week ON AVERAGE. Metrics for the sales team showed that average closing ratio was closer to 30-40%, not at all close to the 70% I was told was average. Not a single person had a closing ratio anywhere near 70%. So I was brought on under false pretenses with next to no support and very inconsistent pay days. I mean the pay days were always the same, but whether or not you got paid on those days, was  a different story. Terrible place to work. Absolutely terrible. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything. Inconsistent pay, virtually no support, not compensated for gas, wear and tear on car, nor your phone. Given only 10% commission when the average sale was only $2700. Awful place. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Head office was badly managed. No support. Set you up to fail then turn around and blame you if you are getting no sales. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wasting your time and gas going from appt to appt because people weren’t serious, they just wanted a free consultation.

Great business model.... for them. Consultants and Installers are subcontracted and responsible for EVERYTHING. While sample books, a company email and access to the operating and ordering software are provided, tools, travel and compensation for time spent resolving customer issues (often caused by managment and in-store Employees are not. The time that one takes with custoemrs to ensure their satisfaction goes unappreiated, with their focus soley on production of numbers over quality of service. 

Often issues arising from inproper manufacturing with no communication to consultant or customer, leaving customers upset and consultants at a scramble to midigate the situation, searching for answers (with little to no result or accountability) from the company.

Managment offers little to no support; any suggestion or requests for training and support are brushed off with no follow through. Managment is disconnected from markets and sets blanket expectations for all, threatening termination when their (ever changing) expectations are not met with no research in to the WHY of the situations. 

Lack of training and resources, an 'I can't believe you dont know that, find it yourself' attitude when presenting questions.

Sadly this place has toxic people but also many good people. There has been many attempts to have issues rectified by management, after poor and unprofessional events took place. Management did not only share information with employees of the concerns but also did nothing to correct it. It was very unprofessional of management to tell other employees what others had concerns about in the manner that they did.(showing emails, telling other employee who has brought up the concern, and labelling) This created tension between employees even more. 
It created a very uncomfortable learning environment and really made it hard to work. Definitely do not suggest working with these types of people as they will only degrade you, expect more and more out of you until you have had enough and walk out. They will test your limits and push you to them in a negative manner.

Right from the beginning without a lack of training they don’t care if you’re able to handle the workload. It comes across almost the same way a MLM structure does, though, instead of buying in to it you pay for what you do as work. They don’t support you whatsoever. As an installer if you have a storage facility to store the massive inventory that gets sent to you, there’s no compensation. If you’re lucky, first month only. Yet you pay for every mistake the factory makes. No travel expenses unless you’re driving an hour+ away. Whatever you make on an install, they’re charging double for you to be there. The company does not care about you unless you do everything they ask of you. Be careful or they’ll overload you with work (as other installers get sick of this and quit) and if you aren’t related to management your rates will be significantly lower. 

I found this company to be extremely toxic. Avoid at all costs. Keep looking you’ll find something worthwhile.

3d is a place where employees are not appreciated or considered. Management gossips like a teenaged girl about their own team members and cause tension within departments. Within days of being there, you will know more about the other employees than you will about your job. Who's divorced and why, who has cameras in their home to watch their wife all day, who's husband doesn't work, nothing is sacred the list goes on. This drama dries out your spirit and kills your soul. Humans can't work there, only heartless robotic beings. I'm sorry for all the customers who call and can't get good service because of office politics .The job, the work itself though fast paced is very rewarding, it can even be fun as you speak to people from all walks of life. If you have thick skin , and can survive the in office sabbatoge.

Please do yourself a favour and do not waste a second of your time with this company.  You will be taken advantage of.  Worked like crazy!  Never paid.  If you are they find reasons to take money from your pay.  You are NOT paid a salary it solely commission.  You will work so hard to make sales and people will let you down because the consults are free but they won’t like pricing, they will go elsewhere and leave you hours upon hours of unpaid work.  Please don’t walk, RUN.  Don’t even think it’s worth it for a second. 

Management is very poor, non-professional.  Very toxic resulting in a lot of resignations and more to come. Overworks the few good employees they have and do not financially compensate accordingly.  There is a lot of direct insult and public humiliation, as well as very bad/insulting talk about all staff members and owners behind their backs to the rest of the office. Does not train or provide support properly, but chastises publicly.

Small company of about 30 in office employees that are fantastic to work with.  Starting salary is not within industry standards, good benefits, not much room for advancement, toxic management, under staffed

This place is an absolute joke.  They do not provide a base salary.   You never get paid.  Even if you make sales they promise to pay you out when you get the sale, I never got paid and it’s been months.  They don’t give you the ability to do well when you’re bombarded with leads that go no where.  The pricing is high and there are much cheaper places in town.  

I love working for 3D interiors. I get to meet with so many interesting people and see so many interesting homes. the hours are extremely flexible. It is so exciting to see people so excited about their new homes or the work they are doing to their homes. I am so fortunate to be a part of this process.
