Been using this temp company for years on and off. It has gotten worse. Back when it was starting and the owner was still around the company seemed to run well. The pay has never been great but its ok if you need extra cash. I've had better results with their Burlington location. I don't know what happened to their Hamilton location. You go in and no one seems really happy that works there. You get a "we will call you if something comes up". Which is always something last minute so your essentially on call. If you apply online giving all your info your still forced to call them. The Hamilton location never seems to read their emails. And should you call no one seems to answer the phone. So then it becomes a game of phone tag and normally its you always calling them.  I had friend go down to fill out some paper work and when I knew he was in the office I called ABL  Hamilton and 
I ended up getting a machine and yet my friend said the women there could of answered but just sat talking to each other. Not very professional if you ask me.

Aside from that should one get a job its usually minimum wage and only goes up a little bit if you have to go further then 20kms. Most jobs are ones no one really wants, dirty, dusty, heavy lifting, outside, loud environment type jobs. Don't get your hopes up on being hired, most of the time your just hired to help with a big order or busy season and once thats done you will be let go before your "probation" ends. And said company will after a couple weeks get someone else.

As I said this company used to be good, I think their Hamilton location needs to be in house cleaned and hire some positive, motivated people to work their. They also need to pay better and find better companies for people to work for, Preferably companies with honest positive reviews that actually care about their employees!

Awesome co-workers, and management. Miss them dearly.

sometimes certain co-workers would drop the ball...a lot...and you would be left to pick up the slack but no one noticed and it never got you anywhere but more work load
Sometimes it felt like they wanted to look the other way with certain staff situations because they had no one else to fill the gap this was frustrating
at the end of it people were put into roles in my opinion,other staffs opinions, and temp workers opinions they should not have been in for lack of anyone else to take that role. They were not ready for the positions and would pass the buck a lot to the people they managed (which made a handful of newer staff quit without notice). Which in turn ended up making staff and temps dislike them which was not fair to them or anyone else. 
What can I say it was like family :) some days you loved them some days..... ;) All in all great experience and came away from it with new knowledge and some great friends. Wish them all the best. 
Word of advice - Up the salary it will help and truly recognize the talent that is there, that has stayed. You all got where you are by hard work yourselves and your staffs hard work and they deserve to feel appreciated daily. Not left feeling like there is another 10 people you can employ to take their spot on a moments notice.

ABL Employment is a great place to grow your career! I started off as an assignment employee and ABL sent me to a few different industrial jobs: plastics factory, electronics warehouse, clothing warehouse, etc. while I was on summer breaks from university. This was a great experience and an easy way to support myself since they pay weekly and the work itself was not very difficult. ABL's incentives have gotten even better for assignment employees over the past couple of years with new perks such as the Quick Start Pay Program (get your 1st day's pay faster), monthly gift card draws, annual A Better Life award, Covid Care Dollars, and the referral bonus program. 

After I graduated I was offered a job as an office admin at ABL's Streetsville location and from there I was offered a job as a regional recruiter where I developed skills in advertising, interviewing, and much more. ABL eventually created my current position for me based on my passion and growth in that area! Thank you ABL for teaching me valuable skills and giving me so much opportunity for success & growth!

Working at ABL was a blessing, though for me it was only Co-Op, I enjoyed everyday that I was there. Being able to work with great people as your Co-Workers was a bonus, At ABL working at the front desk, you get this amazing sensation inside yourself because you are there to assist your future employees with finding work to better their lives for themselves as well as their family. I learned quiet a bit from my Manager and Co-Workers there, I had an amazing time working with them, I learned that you can have a fair balance of work and fun when the time was right and if it wasn't for everything I did at ABL I don't think I would be doing so well now in the working world as I am now. The co-workers there were outstanding and very friendly. The hardest part of my job was keeping tabs on my Co-Op school work while being busy with my day to day task's as an ABL Employee. The most enjoyable part was the people there, there's no doubt about it. They are friendly and polite to everyone that entered as well as to their fellow Co-Workers.

ABL has been home for several years now, and the management and culture are second to none! With a wonderful training regimen, great benefits, and a supportive, caring culture, this company is a wonderful place to work!

Working in the staffing industry is challenging. People are unpredictable, and each has their own motivations. ABL trains its employees to accept and embrace those challenges, and use them for the betterment of their customers, and employees. With a focus on personal development and growth, and the idea that there's no mistake to large to fix, this is an excellent company for both those new to the staffing industry, and those continuing their career in the staffing and recruitment industry.

Currently with ABL Employment and working at Cargojet. Interview and screening process was easy and I had employment within a day or two of my application. This company has been fantastic to work for, thus far. Highly accommodating, understanding, well-organized staff and management. They offer fair paying jobs and allow you to pick the hours you would like. You can always get a hold of them as their after hours team and day team are well coordinated and excellent at their jobs. I would and have recommended ABL to friends and family from all walks of life. 
Security is great, too. I have been with Cargojet through ABL with 5 days a week since mid December and it is now nearly May! They always have more listings and opportunities, as well. Thank you, to the hardworking staff at ABL. If you're reading this trying to figure out if it's a fit for you, give them a shot. You won't regret it.

It started off great but slowly things started to dwindle down and the hours became few and far between. Some of the new hires were placed on a pedestal and received a lot of hours and overtime instead of the hours being equally divided for the same shifts we all qualified for. I am referring to the light duty jobs. I was told my hours would increase once I had a certain training under my belt (I had taken a steel course and am already familiar with certain functions of this particular assignment. (You still require company training no matter where you go). I had a few assignments then nothing. Anywhere you go, it's a dog eat dog world. Lots of bragging from the people who had extra hours and they were the ones who wanted to sleep on the job yet still get paid. 

It is a very nice place to work for. I worked for them well in school and on summer break. 
The salary for some of the work is low, but it is a Temp Agency and if you think of it like that its not bad (not a salary you could make a life on, but will help in hard times)
Job Security also goes with my last paragraph. It is a temp agency, they wont always have work. I did rate them 5* here because when one job is done they try as hard as possible to get you another and keep you working.
Management. I gave them 4* here because a few times they have got my shifts mixed up. Asked me to show up at one time and the job didn't start for another 3 hours. Also advised them I was going on vacation and got a call almost everyday sometimes multiple times. They also apparently booked me in for a few shifts well I was away. 

  Overall I give them a 5* rating as a few mix ups here and there will happen anywhere.

The company offers ample opportunities to develop new skills and participate in training programs. They believe one job title may not fit everyone, so there are ways the company can open new job roles that are focused on your strongest skills. It has great clients, fostering collaboration on business growth strategies. The company also promotes a positive morale and hosts engaging events.

However, micromanagement can become excessive, especially when handling multiple tasks. The fast-paced environment can be stressful due to frequent office walk-ins and a high volume of calls from applicants, employees, and clients. With changing employment needs, the primary focus is on creating additional job opportunities.

Overall, it is a good company to work for and highly recommend them.

My experience with ABL was alright, it wasn't horrible but wasn't amazing. I've dealt with a few agencies before and maybe it's because they focus on light industrial type of jobs it's going to be different then some other agencies. The jobs are decent if you're looking to earn some money to pay bills etc. Some are temporary and some are temp-perm. The people at the office are alright as well - they're nice but I felt like they didn't totally care in terms of the people they bring on or if they do they don't show it very well. The manager is like cold as ice and not very empathetic, she needs to be more personable and just be more open.
