AGT Products Inc

AGT Products Inc. was a great company to work for, well established brand endorsed by Bryan Baeumler and featured many times on his shows.  Products were sold in all big-box stores across Canada (Home Depot, Lowe's, Rona) & USA.
Typical day involved store visits; in-store table set-ups; store associate training sessions.  Also, daily pursuit of direct to contractor sales were a regular routine for me.
I learned a great deal about the total building process and the building codes related to our niche (basement development).
Management was supportive however, sometimes non-existent!
Workplace culture was built to emulate a "family run" business.
Hardest part of the job was bringing awareness to our SmartWall product in Western Canada due to no product on the ground west of Ontario.
Most enjoyable part of job was interacting with store associates and meeting/presenting to builders.  Also... closing a sale was always enjoyable of course!

This company was a horrible place to work for five years. The leaders were clueless, the atmosphere was poisonous, and the salary was meager. The company lacked direction, identity, and regard for its workers. The tasks were excessive, the timelines were impossible, and the standards were unfair. The communication was weak, the feedback was harsh, and the appreciation was absent. The company was indifferent to the excellence of its products or services, only to the profit. The company did not support its employees' growth or happiness, only the savings. The company did not embrace diversity or inclusion, only uniformity and compliance. The company had no morals or honesty, only avarice and deception. The company was a dreadful employer and I would advise anyone to avoid it.


Generous bonus structure and above average pay make for a decent employee package. Management is open to suggestions and concerns. Major complaint would be advancement restrictions due to structure, unless you are willing to move around the departments. Also, environment can be somewhat difficult to deal with, although management does make effort to maintain positive energy and culture.

My supervisor frequently made derogatory comments about my ethnic background and religion, and denied me opportunities for promotion and training that were given to other employees with similar qualifications. I found his behavior unacceptable and harmful to the work environment and the company’s reputation.

It is not that bad, but there is  a lot of space for improvement

Amazing place to work with- Management is cool and understand the needs of their employees.
Lots of learning opportunity and management good care of their employees so everybody can give their opinion.

Great staff, solid production methods. A company with a excellent reputation for product and service. constantly striving to be innovative and far sited in product development.

Worked here for 3 years it was a great place to work but was time for me to move on. Management was good and it was one of the better places I have worked. 

Excellent company to work for! Great management team and co-workers! The schedule is flexible and the benefits are top-notch. I don't have any complains about the company
