What is the best part of working at the company?
They provide a uniform. The training staff are overwhelmed with trying to squeeze in so much information in such a short time.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unfortunately in some zones your fellow paramedic is the worst part. More than this is the fact that the union is extremely weak. Not saying that they should defend all aholes but they need to keep management in check at all times so that they don't become tyrants and they will if allowed to do so. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work itself is your standard work. Way too many transfers for an ALS unit. Dispatching the IFT's are largely based on subjective answers to dispatch questions and requests from practitioners. This often means that an ALS unit is sent to perform a routine transfer that should go BLS. The result is that BLS is the only thing left in the area for emergency calls. Nobody cares about that really.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Book on and start the games. Without knowing what crew is doing what calls, the system leaves you wondering if you are getting hooped. Doesn't mean that you are but it certainly can feel that way. There is no transparency in the system at all. One crew has no idea what another crew is dealing with and cannot offer to help. There's no direct line to your dispatcher to chat or consult with. Response times are a joke and are reported to the executive with very skewed numbers. AHSEMS is completely dishonest and morally corrupt.

I wAs bullied, harassed, injured on the job, rattled on, spied on, lied about and lied too, forced to go on stress leave due to management sticking up for the psychotic co worker who repeatedly harassed EVERYONE!  There were more employees that came and went through out my 8 years there, that I literally can’t count them all! Tried everything to make it better. Wrote an email to the higher up about my manager and all the wrongful things that we’re going on, and wAs referred back to my manager. So much shady goings on, I wanted to fight for all of the past employees who were treated the same way, started a huge list of complaints had several meetings never got anywhere. In the end I gave up and quit due to stress on both my body and my mind- wasn’t worth the 20 bucks an hour. I will probly never recover physically or mentally from the work I did in MAyerthorpes Environental Service Department. It ruined my body and tarnished my soul, since leaving things are slowly getting better. Biggest nightmare of my life!

The company promotes an environment of knowledge and high field of experience.
It’s encourages you to grow with your skills of learning through education and on the field.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Is when you are short of staff and had to pick up extra, which I think is not the company making but is seasonal.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is great, it provides an opportunity of learning and skills. The culture of Place is staff works together as a team, and are very supportive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day for me at this company is receiving reports from ongoing staff, and meeting my patients, introducing myself and coming to review their information individually and preparing their care plan for the day based on their car. Administration of medication, Helping with Activities of daily living, wound dressing, pre-op and post -care,  listening to family concerns and directing to appreciate referrals and consultation, and many more etc.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people I cared for. The benefits package is good.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not getting enough time to destress. The paid time off isn't enough 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The staff are cliguey. If you don't fit in to their coworker club then you will be treated like an outcast. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrive at start of shift, attend report. Then when finished gather all supplies will need to attend my area to get residents up and dressed. Once everyone is porter's to breakfast then we go on break. After breakfast we start bathing those on schedule for day. Once that is done we go check on our residents, provide AADL'S. Then start taking them to lunch. Then it's our lunch. Then we return residents to suites and provide any care needed. We visit with those that want companion. We clean our area for next shift. Take garbage out. Stock rooms.
All day we pay attention to our hygiene and sanitation.

A typical day at work includes team huddle, carrying out daily tasks such as client care and documentation, maintaining company standards on hygiene practices and clean work space and lastly end of shift huddle. Every day there is something new to learn and be challenged by. Workplace culture can be competitive and intimidating. Management works well. The hardest part of the job is managing care giver burnout and maintaining a positive work environment for the team and the clients. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with a diverse team of healthcare workers with different backgrounds and great opportunities to advance in the company as skill set develops.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Decent uniform. This is about all I can think of that I would consider the “best”. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Disorganized, trying to be woke and having HR run your business instead of front line supervisor.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Absolutely horrible! Medics are in a constant state of finger pointing, criticizing each other’s work and judging each other on a regular basis. Very cliquish.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I walk in, keep my mouth shut and ignore the rumours and those that live to wag their tongues.

Making the best of it as a stepping stone. Views through the rear mirror, almost 5 years, continuing work, reactive management intervention leaderskipers, potential exposure to illnesses, diseases, poli-ticks, policies, ground level coordinated work ethics, great for many, value based in reported numbers more than substance of achievments. Environment reactive with mandated gov't's bleedership iniciatives, adaptive structure , more with less approach to balance budgets. 

I love my volunteer position at the hospital. All it takes is a couple of hours every week to have completed the requirements. Not only are you helping the hospital, but you are also helping yourself. The fulfillment you receive while helping out a patient and the unit's crew is amazing. Our main priority (in my specific position) is to socialize with the patients and ensure their comfort. Besides, it gives you the oportunity to make new friends everyday. All this is extremely beneficial for the heart. I highly recommend working here.

By far the best peer communication and environment I have ever been around.  99.99% of the people are there for the client and each other

Dealing with the heartache  and loss of life

THE BEST.   If you need help, just ask.  nobody is there for their own agenda.  ALL ABOUT THE CLIENT

We are there to serve the client.  Try and cloth, feed or house someone in need.
