During a typical shift at Antica Pizzeria you are expected to arrive on time, prepared and ready to serve customers to the best of your abilities. Throughout the shift I meet many different and unique customers and provide the best service I can to them. A manager is always on shift if you need help sorting something out or even if you need someone to talk to. All of my co-workers and I get along great and help each other out if we need it. The hardest part of the job is when a mistake happens with a food or drink order and it may not be the servers fault but the customers only see our faces at the table and just assume it is our fault. The most enjoyable part of the job is to get recognition that you are doing a good job on a busy shift. I do not expect recognition every single shift but after a busy Saturday night shift when nothing seems to be going right for you and your boss comes up and gives you a pat on the back for doing a good job, it is very satisfying.

This place exceeds expectations as a workplace. It is a family like environment where everyone cares for each other both inside and outside of the workplace. The bosses are the most generous people and look out for the well-being of the staff.  Being in the tourist industry, it is a fast-paced shift that can become stressful at times but the support from co-workers and managers  is extremely helpful. I enjoyed my experiences at this establishment. Highly recommend. 

Working at Antica I've learned excellent customer service and time management skills. Ive also met lots of amazing people while working and made new friends with co workers. The hardest part of my job is when the restaurant hits its peek hours and everything is very fast paced, leaving hardly any room for mistakes. What i enjoy most about my job is the smell of the homemade sauce cooking in the back by Nonna and Nonno!!

working at antica was a good chapter to my work life, I found the staff to be close as if  second family. the management and owners/CEOs treated me with upmost respect and dignity daily no matter how busy we got. I did not mind picking up extra shifts and hours which got me way more involvement there.

Feels like working with family.

Its usually busy(it’s a restaurant so that makes sense)

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty good. Its was a fun environment while I was there

Really busy during the summer.

fast paced environment with an overall easy going coworkers and the pay was more then enough for me to live off of at the time as well as the service management was very well organized which made my job a lot easier in my type of usual enviorment

They do tip out literally dozens of workers a week. But walking away with potentially a hundred dollars a week isn't all that bad considering it is a joint split rotation for those who are complaining. At least it's something instead of nothing for two continuous weeks waiting to be paid

Underpaid, not appreciated at all. Alot of the female servers are gossips and catty, fighting alot in front of others. Owners have no clue what is going on, looks over staffed lots of them standing around doing nothing , on their cells alot. Food is really good.  Wouldnt recommend at all. 

The owners make the work environment fun but effective and the job gets done well. they have a good group of staff members and they know how ton run the restaurant like a  second nature.

At Antica Pizzeria it is a fast passed learning experience. You learn how to work with a team with large amounts of communication and positive energy.
