ASH CITY

A typical day at work at Ash City was dispatching orders and training new employees.
     I learned time-management and teamwork at Ash City.
     The management was pretty good. They did their job.
     The co-workers were friendly.
     The hardest part of the job was teaching new employees because  some of them were slow learners.
      The most enjoyable part of the job was also teaching new employees because it felt good to help other people and I made friends with most of them.

Wonderful colleagues (some who have become wonderful friends) and supportive upper management for the most part.  As a whole, everyone worked hard and shared the same vision/goal.  I have no regrets and am proud to have been given the opportunity to learn and grow as much I did over the years I worked there.

They gave us every opportunity to succeed by offering constant product knowledge training, motivational events such as prize raffles for incentives.  They provided a safe place to work.

They wanted employees to be productive because it was a manufacturing sector. No work life balance approach, no flexi hours, no work at home days and exercise facility available. Now company has been sold to one of the US based companies.

Sourcing, costing and negotiation, Production plan, Order allocation, PO issue,  attention to details, multi-task and result oriented, quick learner, listening and problem-solving, Ability to work independently and good team player.

Unfortunately now a days Caucasian’s are the minority especially when it comes to large groups of people working in an area th he service centre has a lot of hard to understand English speaking employees

the company was outsourcing a lot of the work which resulted in a lot of people loosing their jobs. it was not the same from when I started 8 yrs ago. Management changed and all went down hill from there

They make attires for companies, e.g. uniforms, as well as supply work clothing to retailers like Marks.  Just your regular 8-4:30 office job.  No drama or fanfare.  Low pay, high volume workload.  Very little room to move up.

People were very good.I have learned team work,different work systems.Job environment was very nice.Good organisation.Gives chances to apply for the other positions.

I learned to  pick the order. also bar code and numbers. Also I learned the packaging and label. The supervisor and employee are friendly.
