From the very start this company stood out over all the rest, and now that I’ve had the pleasure of working here, I can say this company is truly amazing. The training you receive is unmatched, thorough, professional, and very inspiring. You learn a lot about the business, along with the industry and all the products. There’s a big focus on learning about the different products and on customer experience, helping customers find their perfect match in products. The staff and management is super friendly and welcoming, and everyone is very helpful. I spent just over a year with the company and felt supported from day one through my final shift. Head office was consistently accessible, offering help with both work matters and personal challenges, which is rare in other roles I have held. Each day balanced engaging customer conversations with focused task work, giving me hands-on experience in customer service, sales psychology, operational discipline, tech confidence, visual merchandising, and regulatory compliance. The skills gained have translated directly to my current career. The collaborative culture and loyal customers made the job fulfilling, and I would encourage anyone looking to grow professionally and personally in the cannabis sector to apply here! 

I liked the tight-knit culture working in a small team... meant every shift felt collaborative. My coworkers were knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to share tips on product knowledge and customer service. Because the company was lean, I wore many hats—sales, inventory, and occasional merchandising—which accelerated my learning curve. Management recognized initiative and promoted from within. I moved from budtender (not knowing anything) to trainer in under a year. Bottom line, if you enjoy a collaborative environment where your contributions are visible and you want to grow quickly in cannabis retail, this company is an excellent fit.

The supervisors always make sure that everyone is appreciated and included while consistently promoting growth. Day-to-day goals are very clear to understand and achieve, and no matter how many questions I have, the team always answers them with such positive energy. This was my first job in a dispensary. I loved the work environment throughout all Ashario locations. The staff and customers were amicable and it was good energy to be around. This job stood out from my previous workplaces due to its positive workplace culture and ability to grow. Everyone in management is committed to supporting staff throughout the entire experience. I would highly recommend applying to Ashario if you are looking to grow and work in the cannabis industry.

Fired employees randomly by just a text message/phone call. 
Unfair pay. Some newcomers got paid more than the old employees. 
Micromanagement. Put emphasis on cleaning the store instead of making sales or other meaningful tasks about cannabis. Asked too much and made disrespectful comments about employees' personal life.
Do not have any business sense that they once ordered X'mas products during hot summer.

Minimum wage regardless of experience, people left after finding better jobs, management always demands budtenders to collect Google reviews the location from customers. Noticable favouritism when it comes to raises. I've worked at a few cannabis retailers and they've all paid better with benefits.

I got hired through Indeed. The management seems really nice! I get paid more than my old job so its a plus. A few colleagues mentioned how the previous female manager wasn't good, so happy they got a new one before I started haha!
