ford of canada became the devil in disguise in 2014 when it decided to not to renew contract and further help assemble the new 2015 lincoln mkc version 2.0 4 cylinder by rebuliding it at there complex thus the plant closures of 2 huge buildings effecting 600 operators and associates and team members.it was fun while it lasted and the operators of all religions and cultures were well worth there weight in gold for the great work out put and quality process.the hardest part of my job was leaving a very good paying and good enviroment.the best way to high light this was that i will always be grateful for the oportunity to lead and train other operators and basically know every line and every job thus being flexible to tag relief and flexibly to move and cover even for washroom breaks as auto line was non stop at run rate of 60 to 65 vehicles per hour on 10 hour shifts.

The facility included several automotive parts assembly work stations in which I was trained on. Training did not last long and was expected to keep pace with experienced employees. There was a major management change and so the line never ran smooth about a month in Automodular. For the most part the co-workers were friendly and seemed to get along with each other. Of course hands could have gotten dirty or clean depending on what stations you were placed. The hardest part of the job was the retraining every so often and re-positioning of stations.

My time working at Automodular was great, my work environment was very friendly. Not only did we cooperate well with another but other co-workers treated each other as family. All the supervisors were very approachable. Due to the great relation between the workers and the management, all production was done at top quality. I have gained a lot of useful assets working at Automodular. However, unfortunately due to policy changes the company has issued to close down this fall.

Days were 10 hours,and very fast paced. Hourly targets needed to be achieved for Just in time delivery and was a first class Sequencing Facility.
Management was approachable,fair and easy to get along with.Co-workers were helpful and very hands on when needed. 
It could be stressful when training new employees, covering absenteism or downtime due to breakdowns or part shortages while still maintaining hourly targets in order to make trucks. It was extremely rewarding when it all came together at the end of the day.

Our team would start the line to begin production.  Relay any issues to management. I learned to be open to all ideas from team that would resolve concerns and improve production. Dealing with IT issues could be difficult at times because repairs would effect our rate of production for that day. I enjoyed working with my team members ,we got the job done while being playfull and helpfull.

Heavy job (Production Line) but helped me in understanding more and working with different cultures of people. 

Although shift timing was a little difficult, but i manage to adjust myself to the scheduling. Unfortunately, the company closed because our customer (Ford Motor Co. of Oakville) did not renew the contract, and took all the jobs back at their site.

This is a fast paced work environment where the workers ate treated fairly in my estimation. The company operates on a shift basis and is a twenty four hour operations.

Hydraulic functions of tension or locking bolts. Many skills, as CPR, Fall arrest, Forklift safety. Excellent leadership from all management. Great co workers. Keeping equipment operational!
The team environment.

good place to work, friendly managers and co workers.wages and benefits were fair. Mostly troubleshooting machinery. some projects as well. 12 hr shifts straight nights was difficult. Had every weekend off. Lots of free lunches and barbques

Should never have closed up.  A company that was used to assemble engines for various company's.  Lead to believe that this kind of company is used for building engines and maintaining production while the bigger company's, like General Motors and Ford, continued to invest in new equipment and upgrades.
