This place you meet great people, even some of the supervisors, but upper management doesn't care about you or what you do to make the workplace safer or better, unless you make a minor mistake (theres no training here, to help prevent you from making mistakes) you learn from the other employees. 

Also the smell of burning plastic is great (the oven, used to shrink wrap the product) 

You will be lied to here, don't believe or trust management. 

When picking orders (you get a scan gun and a electric pallet jack called a double jigger or short bus as they call it) you are timed on how many orders you pick in a hour, usually 80-120 is the reg but any amount lower causes a lovely talk about keep up and try harder, work harder. *Doesn't matter that the scan gun(outdated tech) you get stops working or theres missing product, it will still be your fault, and they won't be nice about it.

Booking days off is almost impossible and schedules are changed days to hours before you're next shift.

There are hundreds of bad things about this place, and I wish I had the time to explain it all, but take my advice and look for a place that you will be able to grow and succeed in life not to mention that when you go home at the end of your shift, you know you did good work

I worked here for a while and randomly came across the company again on indeed, so I felt like sharing my experience.

First off, the team at the store level is actually great. Good people, supportive, and everyone’s just trying to do their job properly. No complaints there.

The problem is upper management. It honestly feels like their main focus is just watching cameras all day instead of actually supporting the stores. There’s a serious lack of trust — you constantly feel monitored rather than managed.

The expectations are also completely unrealistic. You’ll be given sales targets that make you stop and think, “How is this even possible?” There’s no clear plan, no real support on how to achieve those numbers… just pressure.

Also, the role of “store manager” isn’t really what it sounds like. It’s basically a glorified sales position… There’s very little real leadership responsibility or autonomy, and no meaningful involvement in actually growing the business beyond hitting numbers.

The job offers ease and supportive management, yet the daily rhythm can feel mundane. While tasks are manageable and leadership fosters a positive environment, the repetitive lifestyle creates monotony. Seeking diversions beyond work, such as exploring new hobbies, socializing with friends, or embarking on short getaways, can infuse freshness. Engaging in physical activities, volunteering, or pursuing learning endeavors adds zest. Breaking the routine with personal challenges or professional growth ventures revitalizes the daily grind. Although work boasts comfort and a supportive structure, injecting novelty through various activities and explorations can enrich life beyond the confines of the job's ease and good management.

Avoid if you can , will be told that management does not believe in seniority - only to see that the warehouse is ran strictly on just that - seniority , numerous long term “yellow vests” acting as if they make the rules and do as they please , taking lunch early , leaving early , all things that are completely frowned upon otherwise

I really enjoyed this job because of the people, the management are going to be good to you if you’re a good worker. If they see you exceeding expectations (which isn’t much) which will give you more opportunities in the warehouse. The one downfall is that the salary is a little low compared to other warehouses, but they do offer benefits. 

I do recommend working here if you need a job and can be able to do the physical labour.

Terrible business practices, leave as soon as you can. 

 No company culture, employees don't engage with each other,  you will be required to check-in/check-out every day. (Yep, just like kids). 

Company expects that you learn everything by yourself. If you have any questions, keep those to yourself. Otherwise, your manager and most employees will make you feel extremely dumb if you ask any. 

Average job, could  be better if higher ups promoted a heathier and positive work enviroment will demand alot from you, if your lower than management your treated like trash even if your one of their best employees and they will remind you that your expendable. They pad their reviews with HR and managment putting false high rated reviews .

Working here is fun to start but it is noticed quickly that the place runs heavily off of favouritism. Certain jobs being harder than others will be given to the same individuals day to day (up to weeks of the same job), while others get the chill relaxed ones under the same conditions regardless of seniority.

Don’t waste your time with autoshack. It has a ridiculous turnover rate at all levels of the company due to the culture.

You will be fired/removed if you voice complaints or non-conformist thoughts about the company.

They hire/fire/lay off so many staff for such a small company that they are constantly short staffed.




Autoshack is a great place to work and learn skills that are useful and transferrable to any role/industry. Salary is fair and management is supportive. The team is very helpful and friendly.  There is a strong business outlook and you will have solid job security.
