Your coworkers are mostly great, kind and fun people, but upper management aren’t. I’ve had run ins with directors who clearly have anger issues. Beware. 

You will also feel very watched all the time because upper management will be watching over your shoulder often. Customers can be hard to deal with sometimes. 

You will also most likely end up having to do a lot more task than you originally expected. Overall, it’s really not the worse job as long as you keep upper management at an arms length.

I worked there for a year and a half. Management sucks, must be available to work one weekend out of two. Which would be fine except they would schedule us to work 7 day straight, have one day off work a couple more days than have your weekend. When the chef would always have the same two days off. Not sure if he is still the pastry chef in charge but he is literally the worst human being to work with. Constantly complaining, yelling at everyone. Always in a bad mood. Not a fun experience. 

I worked there for a little over 3 years. I loved my time there, truly. Everyone was always super nice, my boss was incredible and was very accommodating with my schedule. The only reason I left this place is because the salary is horrible. After working with them for 3 years and negotiating my salary twice, I was only 0.20$ above minimum wage, for a job where I sometimes would do the supervisor's job when he was on vacation.

Coworkers were great to work with. The job is fun! However, the management is quite terrible. Some superiors have yelled at employees, been condescending, have lied, etc. The work culture could be greatly improved. The employees change very frequently. There is no discount or free food. You only get to have extra rewards on the fidelity card (10% instead of the 1% offered for customers).

Im confused of what happened there. The customers are super rude such make your day so bad you’ll feel like you want to cry and the manager live is okay but they’re is a lot of favouritism and you will feel it. The hours are also given by favouritism and yeah but it was a kinda good job and on the week day it’s relax but on the weekend nop ! 

I really enjoyed the work I was doing and had a lot of fun with my colleagues. The pay was good and my customers were generally super nice and curious about the products. What put me off the most were certain members of management who were sometimes very aggressive. I had enough so I stopped.

Successful young company has its growing pains. Management is not too hands on and someone with drive can get ahead.  Pay scales are not established and its whatever lowball salary they can get away with.  Very basic benefits.  Disappointed overall.  Coworkers were great!

Favoritism is huge. I lefted because of tension due to the fact I spoke english. I brought up the point to the director and she told .e here in quebec we speak french. The wage sucks and the culture isnt healthy. If your a cook stay away...far away from this place because once you get insurance your f....

Working at avril was an interesting experience the people I worked with were great and super nice. They would always willing to give you an extra hand if your were in a rush. The downside to this company is the management. 

The management and other employees were very nice to work with. The hours are great, parking is simple and the management is always ready to help. Made many friends.
