Management here fosters a hostile and dangerous environment, with poor compensation and blatant mistreatment. Employees are routinely mocked by leadership, and lead hands abuse their power, making up rules to suit themselves while playing favorites. There is a significant lack of proper safety efforts, and the absence of a properly suited health and safety committee creates a hazardous workplace where employees are exposed to constant risks. The company lacks clear direction, and the communication gap between management and the production floor leaves workers voiceless. The workplace has become intolerably toxic, and despite the relentless efforts of the production team, they remain grossly underpaid. If you're looking for growth—whether in production or management—look elsewhere. This company only rewards those who conform, disregarding genuine contributions or improvement.

Worked at Axyz for several years. It used to be a solid place with good people and a good culture. Since new ownership came in and terminated most of upper management among a few others, it has been a steep downhill slide. New managers only care about pleasing the owners and their bottom line. They refuse to listen to their lead hands or employees. 

The past few months has seen a significant number of people resign or been shown the door. The shop floor has become toxic wasteland of negativity and backstabbing. If you like “office politics” this is the place for you. I feel bad for the few good ones that are still there and deserve much better.  

Axyz has lost its way sadly, as many companies do when new ownership comes in. This is not a place I would recommend to anyone, to start a career in any capacity. 


What is the best part of working at the company?
Hands on experience about machine design and manufacturing 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of autonomy.
Boring work.
Constantly change of management. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Really no culture. R&d is in US. Canada factory do cnc fabrication, marketing sales and service. Owner only focus on sales and often openly blame Chinese cnc comparators’ low cost as AXYZ machine can not compete. If AXYZ don’t focus on innovation, there will be no future for them. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Job itself is quite boring. Environment is very political and toxic. Lots of finger pointing between departments. There is no team work.

This company does its best to attract new employees, but if you ask around the company no one is happy. Management is poorly run, and there are some managers who actively attack employees' intelligence and their work ethic. There is was always empty promises that were never filled. The environment is incredibly toxic and most feel as though they are walking on eggshells.

Employees are trained minimally and expected to perform at a level that exceeds that of their supervisor. This is not a place I would recommend to those looking to improve in an electrical or mechanical field. 

A lot of the people were awesome, but the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. Management doesn't care about why they do things, only that bottom lines are reached. They sweep large major issues under the rug while spending too much time and money picking on inconsequential minute details that don't matter. If you're a yes-man and don't care to ask questions about dumb decisions, this might be a perfect job for you

Did not work here long. But the atmosphere is very toxic. Management is very poor. They do not listen to their employees. Wages and benefits are below average. It has become a revolving door of people the last few months, most deciding to leave the company. I personally would not recommend any friends or family to work here. 

Interesting project, everybody is eager to help and teach, if you are willing to give the extra mile, the ramp up process is fast. 
Some times the code takes some time to be understood due to code naming, but everyone is there to help and explain.

I sold CNC Equipment to customers across North America, most often in the United States.  Attended trade shows and spent far too much time travelling.

Managers are only interested to please the owner or higher management to get promoted. Whoever keeps saying "Yes BOSS" without thinking anything get promotion every year even they know nothing. Very Toxic Environment. Never would suggest anyone to work at this place.

Mom and papa shop that is growing-fast.

Middle management is still trying to find their way. Still got in the old ways of doing things. Needs to work on being PRO ACTIVE!
