Overall a great place to work; lots of opportunities for advancement for those that prove themselves. Started with almost no experience and they were patient with training and partnered me with some good guys to learn from and work with. Salary is competitive but it could be better. Benefits are also good and the company has recently created a group rrsp which is nice. Lots of company events and involvement within the community. Would recommend as an employee for a few years. 

Good place if you are looking to get some experience for a year. Do not count on what is supposedly guaranteed or promised from what your told when you get hired. They will say anything to get you in the door. They will not do a apprenticeship, if you are looking to become a skilled machinist and move from machine to machine look at another shop. Management is nice and flexible and lots of overtime if your willing to work.

Aarkel Tool & Die is great place to work, management does help everyone to learn & grow along with achieving company’s goal. Excellent nature of co-workers, happy to work there as a team member.
Here management/supervisor allow employees to do everything by own so i:e; set up, tool making, programming etc. so good place to learn.

A strategy of "Effective Utilization of Available Resources" works very well.

Splendid experience. Got the best training. Got enough opportunity when needed. Everybody is supportive and helpful. Never seen such a amazing management before. They are always ready to help in possible way. Great place for fresher as this company give more than enough time for training.

Good place to work with good shift supervisors. Job always has steady work. If you can prove yourself managers will try to accommodate straight day shift if asked for

So much favouritism and lack of support in Design Dept. for newbie.
Benefits are basic for plus 50 million in sales.
Lacking any contribution for retirement.
Machining Dept. provided good support.

Aarkel as a whole wasn't bad. Decent pay and benefits for Wallaceburg. They spend money on good tools and good machines which is awesome. Most of the co-workers are good guys, it's some of the management that will kill it for you.

No real training provided once you know basics you are on your own and if you are not friends with management there is no advancement. If you want straight shift you have to kiss butt and Saturday's are mandatory on day shift.
