A typical day as the General Manager at Abbotsford Nissan was fast-paced, hands-on, and results-driven. My day would often begin by reviewing the previous day’s performance across all departments sales, service, parts, and finance followed by strategy sessions with department managers to ensure we were aligned with our goals. Customer interactions, staff development, inventory management, and daily operations were all a part of the routine.

Working at Abbotsford Nissan taught me how to lead through change, especially in an industry that continues to evolve rapidly. I gained a deeper understanding of manufacturer expectations, digital retailing trends, and how to build strong customer loyalty in a competitive market. Leading a dealership also sharpened my skills in financial management, team building, and strategic planning.

As a General Manager, I was the management but collaboration was key. I worked closely with my leadership team to foster accountability, drive performance, and support every employee's growth. We created an environment where expectations were high, but support and communication were equally strong.

The workplace culture at Abbotsford Nissan was team-oriented, energetic, and customer first. We built a culture of ownership and pride, where every department understood their role in delivering a top-tier dealership experience.

The hardest part of the job was navigating challenges outside our control like inventory shortages or shifting consumer trends. These moments tested our adaptability, but also strengthened our problem solving as a team.

The most enjoyable part of the job was watching the dealership grow hitting sales targets, improving CSI scores, developing internal talent, and earning the trust of the community. Being part of Abbotsford’s automotive landscape and leading a dedicated team made the role truly rewarding.

I had the pleasure of working in the Parts Department at Abbotsford Nissan. From the very first day, the team made me feel welcome and supported, creating a collaborative and positive and continuously growing work environment. The leadership has been the best I've had! The management not only knew how to run a business, but they genuinely cared about their staff. They took the time to ensure we had the tools and knowledge necessary to succeed and provide the best service possible to customer. Every day was a new opportunity to learn something, the team members were always willing to share their expertise, which made it super easy to grow both personally and professionally if the effort is made. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better work environment. If you're looking for a company that values its employees. Abbotsford Nissan is a fantastic place to work. Highly recommended!

Since the Dealership changed hands to new owners, the atmosphere is a lot better to work in.  With the new computer system we have all learned a quite a bit.  I think we have all enjoyed the new "perks" that have come with the new management team.  We celebrate birthdays once a month and have "Employee of the month"  along with a BBQ so everyone feels appreciated. The Management team also goes out of their way and has lunches brought in for everyone on Saturdays!  

Hardest part of the job right now is trying to learn the new system and being organized as best as we can be.
Overall I am liking the new "Abbotsford Nissan"!!


Being a car washer for a big car dealership has been interesting; and you don't usually see too many young people working in places like that and now I know why. I'm not saying it was bad at all but even just being a car washer can be hard. I can't imagine being a mechanic but I congratulate those who are able to get into the profession and be able to hold onto it because from what I observed; it's harder for them. I learned that from being a car washer, you have to pay close attention to detail because even though you think you washed the whole car you could have missed something. But overall it was a good learning experience that I will never forget.

Not a great place to work. Service managers constantly changing can't keep staff. I've watched employees walk out during their shift and not return.  The managers are not professional and do not provide any support. There was no training done when started, and nissan website is annoying.  It looks it's a nice dealership, but in the end staff is not treated well and they will let you go. 
Also, the owner of the company interviews you no matter what position your applying for. 

Never can please fixed ops manager, owner only listens to him. If he doesn’t like you then he will find a way to get rid of you. Very stressful place to work and constantly worrying from day to day and hour to hour if you’ll be in trouble Fixed ops can’t and won’t look you in the eye when speaking to you. Looks out the window. Underpaid techs and unreal expectations

Abbotsford Nissan has a young and dynamic team with lots of diversity and good leadership.  

There isn’t a traditional leadership structure of most car dealers there.   The owners are actually operators and work diligently daily to support their team and ensure their success.  It’s a family run business and not one of those corporate places where you feel like your just a number. 

Would highly recommend Abbotsford Nissan to those considering a change.

Badly run no respect for employees very high turnover of employees

It’s tense and stressful no job security

I'm super proud to be part of the team at Abbotsford Nissan. Upper management has a clear vision of where the store is going and have built a strong and supportive team to get there. I genuinely enjoy the people I get to work with on a daily basis. I love that Abbotsford Nissan is a family owned and operated business, as I have worked for large auto groups in the past and I have never felt as secure and supported as I do here.

The best part about working for this company was leaving.

The fact that their training was almost nonexistant.

Horrible work environment and the culture was terrible.
