Accident Support Services International Ltd.

You come for work and must stand outside in cold for many hours. Hands becoming very freezing while taking photos. Cameras they give are very cheap type and many time not working properly. Sometimes you try again and again just to make camera work.

There is no proper system for first come first serve. People waiting long long time, sometimes few hours. Then they become angry with staff and we must handle this even if problem is not from us.

Even one bad review and you can lose job. Even when you did nothing wrong they still blame staff.

Place always short staff. Everyone complaining but nothing really changing. Sometimes management bring pizza like this will fix problem.

When work becoming slow they cut your hours very fast. Suddenly you have very little income. If you try taking second job it also problem because they expect you always make this job first priority.

Manager mostly sitting in office and not seeing what staff dealing with outside in cold. Not understanding staff situation very much. Not very good with people.

I have worked for this company for nearly 6 years now. I have found the president, vice presidents and coworkers to be friendly, supportive and eager to work effectively together. 

I have learned many skills and absolutely grown as an employee. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the police and the opportunities provided to me to use my skills and talents to the best of my ability. 

The model of this company is one where all stakeholders actually have the opportunity to be successful; insurers, police, and citizens. There is a strong sense of customer service and our office is always striving to be the best it can be.

Highly recommend this company and the environment created internally in which employees work. In fairness, not every citizen we help is super happy (considering they are seeing us due to having been involved in a collision) however we have the opportunity to make a bad situation better for them and I leave feeling like I made a difference each day; that is a huge plus.

I've been part of the ASSI team for just over two years. I can honestly say I am very happy to be a part of this team.  Amazing atmosphere and friendly team members from back office to those out on the frontline.  There's a great amount of cooperation and support if you're new and a fair amount of work life balance! I feel like feedback is taken seriously by management, and your voice is heard.  There are lots of opportunities to move throughout the organization if you're looking for development opportunities.  It's a place where hard work is rewarded and encouraged with a good deal of balance.

Although it can be stressful at time, I enjoyed working here. I developed a lot of skills that I probably would not have at another job. It made me more confident, able to work independently, and developed my work ethic. it also strengthened my computer skills, and data entry skills to be more accurate. In order to work here you must be able to work at a fast pace, enjoy talking to people and have a empathetic demeanor. The job also requires flexibility, and desire to learn new tasks, and advance your learning. Is not just a sit in a chair all day and type kind of job.

Company practices pay inversion - new hires come in making more than other employees.

Health and safety initiatives are non existent and reasonable requests for accommodation are scoffed at and completely unattainable.

Although the position itself is rewarding, it is highly stressful, regularly understaffed resulting in work overload and missed breaks, low employee morale, severely underpaid and staff employees who demonstrate little to no empathy for customers resulting in poor customer service practices.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I work with great people. My manager is nice, helpful and care about her employees. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing. Once you learn the system it’s good

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and helpful people. Citizens are mostly grateful for our help 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Help citizens who come in with their collision report either on the computer kiosk or on paper. Answering phone call questions, entering data and making calls to citizens reminding them to come into to do their reports

Quite stressful...great amount of knowledge to take in

Yes picture requirements is not enjoyable in cold..
Truly @ the end of the day dealing with people that have had unfortunate accidents does not make for a positive experience...
Manager  was good to train from & work with...
Overall would not reccomend this as a potential career however was an interesting learning experience as stated by others Insurance requirements & Police reports...

Management next door is completely unfair and ridiculous, You work with police officers some are friendly and kind, but a couple are miserable and sad they're no longer on the streets. 

Excellent for gaining customer service experience and data entry skills you don't get the happiest customers of course their cars are recked  but other staff members are friendly. 

Place needs an upgrade horrible chairs and computers. 

Part timers get no benifits no matter how long you've been with the company. Cheap company starts at minimum wage.

Taking pictures  outside any weather conditions

This jobs was much mores stressful then it needed to be. Left alone on know busy day. Asked for more help for months. Felt as if i was expected to stay later even though a its a part time job and the office closed. 
Computers wont access internet had to use data on personal cell phone for such things as mapquest. Just poor communication all around. Major changes in programming not communicated. Not being informed of equipment failures etc. if organized and well staffed. It would not be so bad. 

Working in the collision reporting centre can be very stressful, as anyone coming into the centre is unhappy to be there. The company has centres all over the place, but there is always someone to help, I found my district manager to be very helpful especially when I was struggling to keep up with the day to day. They made me feel very supported, and made sure I understood the expectations. I really enjoyed my time here.
