The operators and Zone Techs are great people. I loved the people here except the supervisors with one exception (ironically the guy who fired me). The pay is terrible even if you are a Zone Tech. When I was hired the Office staff decided to use modified duties to screw me out of a Christmas bonus that I was entitled to. The union is worse than useless and the factory is a mess. In their defense there is a new plant manager (so hopefully this will change VERY soon) and there is great benefits if you stick around for some weird reason. Typically you are trained well here which was something I liked a lot (depending on who your trainer is). The hardest part of working here is working really really hard for very very little pay. In my past jobs I made $3 more per hour and did way less work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I learned a great deal of quality control issues and how to trouble shoot concerns and a great deal of powder coat applications. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I would have to say there was no stressful situations with my work at accuride. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
My department was stress free I worked with the same people for over 10 years.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up in my department always half hour early get ready what I will need for my shift and wait to start.

A day at work would be arriving before 5 am. Clocking in. Walking 10 minutes through the first half of the factory and then 10 minutes to the second half of the factory. It’s 5 minutes to the second half if you take the short cut and go outside once you’re half way through the first half of the building, once you’re outside you walk straight for about two minutes take a small left walk straight for another 3 minutes and you’re at the garage door you need in order to start work. Once work would start each person would have a station to work at. I typically worked the Chipping station the most, inspecting tire rims and making sure there aren’t any imperfections.

Is not a good place to work they do not care about there employees all they care about is numbers not the worker you are not appreciated there they treat there workers bad an lay threats down about firing you if you miss a day due to sick or family they only care about themselves AND THAT IS NOT HOW YOU RUN A FACTORY SUPPOSE TO RUN LIKE A FAMILY EVERYONE DOES THERE PART US AS EMPLOYEES DO OUR JOB AND BEYOND WHILE SUPERVISORS MANAGEMENT AND HR USE YOU AND DONT GIVE ANY INCENTIVES TO THERE EMPLOYEES 

Accuride is a great place to work for. Once you are trained and learn what you’re doing, it’s not stressful work. All they ask of you, is to come to work everyday, on time and follow procedures. You do need to be self motivated and efficient. You shouldn’t have to be told what you should be doing . Most positions require us to work in teams so, you need to be able to work well with others and communicate effectively. The starting pay is a little low and even top tier but this place doesn’t make you lose any sleep at night  you’re able to do your job then come home and switch “work mode” off

They fire hard working people for taking time off due to injury (with a provided doctors note even).
Horrible, unorganized management and supervisors.
Constantly pressuring emplyoyees to work overtime.
No opportunities to advance.
& The worst part is the job culture, everything is so disorganized and employees are constantly using their sinority over others to pick fights.
The only good thing about this place was their benefits.

Good people to work with but unfortunately closed the end of January

Supervisors not knowing the job 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mostly stress free. They weren’t down on you about stuff most the time

I love my coworkers but there seams to be a lot of tension on the other shift no communication or anything. But my shift everyone is very helpful and passionate about the job. The pay is garbage and so are the benefits. If you aren’t looking for a job for money this is the job for you but if you do need the money you will be waiting a long while. 

Accuride was a great place to work, I did my electrical apprenticeship there, advanced to electrician then to maintenance supervisor. All the people I worked with had a positive work ethic which coinsided with my own.
