Advice to Management:
Continue investing in employee development and training programs to support long-term retention and engagement. Streamlining communication and processes between departments would also enhance efficiency.


 

This Company does not care about its employees. The Kamloops location treats its staff like sheep. don't be fooled by the benefits. They're in-house benefits and take a while to claim. We only get a few hours of training. There is a reason why they have such a high turnover. Do Not be fooled by working here. The floor supervisor doesn't care about his workers. The maintenance man never does proper maintenance at all. Pay is way less than in a lot of fast-food places.

I learned how companyies that are prospecting for gold, find out how much ore is in the areas were they are exploring. I also learnered the ins and outs of a Fire Assay dept. well enough to become a Supervisor in a short period of time. The people that i Supervised were good, hard working people that made my job rather enjoyable as well as very productive.

Pays minimum wage for hard jobs that nobody wants to do. They have 1 week of vacation policy  so you can’t take more than one week at a time. Supervisors don’t know how to treat people. Always gives you unnecessary peace of advice which doesn’t make any sense. Bring students under co-op program because they are never gonna find workers for their labor jobs. It’s very bad workplace.

Been working for Actlabs for a few years. Started in a basic technician role and I am not an instrument operator. This is my first job out of university.

High expectations for quality and production. Great team, and my manager is a good communicator. 

Any issues that I have run into I have been able to overcome, often with help from other people in my lab. 

We(prep technicians) working extremely hard to keep production speed stable ,most samples-rocks (up to 25 kg),Typical day:
sort samples ,(30 to 150),
update data in computer
weigh samples
transfer samples to prep area
prep samples
update data

you can relax in a lunch time(30 min)

Great team. Love working with the majority of people at Actlabs. Would certainly suggest working here. 

Lots of changes and investment happening in the company. New training program for new supervisors and managers. 

Strong HR team! They are competent and extremely supportive. 

I enjoyed my time at Act Labs and appreciated the management team as they were always fair and treated their staff well. I would recommend this employer to anyone looking for full-time hours. It's physically demanding but good work.

I currently work here and really enjoy it, great atmosphere ,awesome people and good management. If any issues come up they get resolved quickly.  I would recommend this place. 

Management is poor at best no reward for good work ethic.The pat is good if you at fresh out of high school but if your trying to raise a family or look for a good paying job or career this is not the place to be
