Working at this company has been a really positive experience. The environment is fun, team-oriented, and highly collaborative. Management is professional, supportive, and holds people accountable in a fair and respectful way. The work itself is meaningful, and you get to support individuals through major life changes, which adds a real sense of purpose to what you do.

There’s a strong focus on recognizing hard work, with incentives in place for those who go above and beyond. Work-life balance is also a big plus; management is understanding and flexible when it comes to personal needs and scheduling.

The company is growing quickly, and there’s a lot of opportunity for advancement. With that growth comes constant change and fast-paced shifts, so being adaptable and able to work under pressure is definitely important in the consultant role. There are a lot of moving parts, and the position comes with a wide variety of responsibilities.

Overall, it's a great place to work if you thrive in a dynamic, people-focused environment and are open to ongoing change and growth.

Although jobs are consistently changing, it felt like each new week there was always a new system that needed to be put into place with little to no training. 

People = numbers and numbers = money.  Which means as hard as the staff try to treat each client  as an individual the moto really is.. Get in and get out so the company can get funding. 

The company has a whole training department and I know that they work hard however, they are giving blanket training that does not apply to some areas. The new model is "do it this way or the highway" however what works in big cities is not going to work in small towns. 

The whole time we were promised certain things and then they would get taken away kind of dangle the carrot but you never really get what you wanted. 

In the last few months there has been a very high rate  of turnover which I think speaks volumes that long time employees have had enough.

Consistent Monday-Friday schedule

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper management not being receptive to local community and not listening to staff, always assumed staff weren’t trying hard enough. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, zero support and training for lower leadership. Upper management would gossip and put the team against each other. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Arrive and be forced to attend meetings that had no benefit to local team. Each location had different programs and requirements. Managed schedules, supporting team, budget planning, marketing planning.

The most enjoyable part of the job is coworkers and the people we support. Interesting learning opportunities and professional development.That's about it. The company treats it's employees with distrust and disdain, leadership approaches are demoralizing, rigid and not conducive to a productive work environment. No flexibility outside of your 40 hours, and responsibilities are constantly being reallocated to front line staff, with no increase in pay or recognition. The senior leadership team either doesn't care or isn't aware of the poor morale they're creating. It's a shame because the front line staff care deeply about their clients and communities. 

I was with Agilec Innisfil for nine working days, and unfortunately the onboarding experience was not supportive. Communication from leadership was unclear and often filtered through multiple people instead of directly from my manager, which created confusion.

I was also asked to provide additional references after joining, which felt unusual and signaled a lack of trust. HR misinterpreted a virtual conversation, despite consistently positive and professional in-person interactions I had during job shadowing.

Nine days is not enough time to fairly evaluate someone learning new systems and processes. I hope the organization improves its communication, trust, and treatment of new employees.



There is so much I could say about this company and how they run the business….. let’s just say I would not advise anyone work there or receive services from there…. The staff in the office really, truly care about the clients but unfortunately management does not. It’s all about profits for the company and they treat staff like garbage and don’t provide any support, leading to extreme turn over rates. 
I hope they turn things around and start caring about staff and clients sooner rather than later but I highly doubt that’s going to happen…. From what I experienced it’s only getting worse….

Great culture, great team who truly cares about my well being. Everyone is highly passionate and dedicated to the work they do. There is a strong commitment to treating clients as people not just numbers.

It is truly rewarding experience to know that you have made a difference in someone else's life. 

If you are truly interested in making a difference in our community with a team that is as just as dedicated/passionate about the cause (can tolerate low pay, lack of job advancement opportunities), this is the perfect place for you. It is the feeling that you are being part of something greater than yourself.

Working as a VRC I have the ability to work in a hybrid role. I feel part of a very supportive work environment from my colleagues as well as my Team Leaders. The hardest part of my job are the candidates who are pain centred and not ready to return to work. However the most enjoyable part of my job is having candidates who feel they are not employable and have no purpose to assisting them in getting employed and feeling they have a purpose. No better feeling in the world then to see a candidates self confidence  and self esteem rise from the ashes!

Senior leadership at Agilec is incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping employees grow. There are plenty of internal advancement opportunities, with many Program Managers having started as Employment Consultants and several directors having previously been Program Managers themselves.

Agilec also recognizes and rewards those who go above and beyond in their roles, offering meaningful incentives and a generous professional development allowance for all staff, including management. It’s a workplace that truly values growth, initiative, and continuous learning.

The pay is OK, however does not reflect role expectations or the trauma of working in this kind of environment. Management will gaslight you, coworkers will treat you poorly without consequence, and you will not be given the tools or time to support your clients to be successful. This is a numbers game. They cannot keep frontline or senior staff, and take no responsibility for the high turnover or team dynamics. The most enjoyable part of this job is the small successes of engaged clients. If you can invest little emotion but remain highly productive without acknowledgement or reward, this may be the job for you.
