I started off in the Technical Records/Maintenance department. I typically started my day by transcribing all of the pilot's logs into the designated books for each aircraft. I also scheduled maintenance for the mechanics to do their repairs on each aircraft. I sorted through the mail to be delivered to each individual Northern base.
Once I got promoted, I was the Central purchaser for the entire airline. I was in charge of ordering the uniforms for all of the employees including the mechanics, pilots and flight attendants. I was also in charge of keeping up with the inventory on all of the office supplies and printed material, and placing orders as they became low in the stock room. I received orders from all of the other bases on what was needed and I would prepare shipping packages to keep them well stocked as well. I had the responsibility of searching other vendors to compare prices and always try to get the best value for the airline's money. I learned many things about aircraft while in the Technical Records department and having a lot of responsibility to work on my own as the Purchaser. I got along very well with all of my co workers and kept a friendly yet professional relationship with them all. The hardest part of my job was having the stress of having a large responsibility to supply so many things to an entire airline all on my own, although it really did give me a huge sense of satisfaction and feeling proud that I was able to manage it all without any prior experience. The most enjoyable part of my job was having my own large office space where I can work in a quiet atmosphere since I had so many things to deal with, it made it much easier to concentrate.

Working at Air Inuit was very productive and influential on my professional well-being. A typical work day would consists of me entering data, fixing reports, working on charters and any other tasks required from my respective supervisor. Every aspect of the job kept you thinking. We had to make sure all the details were correct and we even had to do quite a bit of investigation into certain information given by the clients in order to process the invoices correctly. The hardest part of the job would be trying to figure out whether to bill the clients as seniors, children or infants. The environment was a very family oriented one. The management staff were easy to talk to. My co-workers made it fun to be at work on a daily basis. The most enjoyable part of the job is to know that we were able to meet month-end requirements in a timely manner, and the management staff were happy with our productivity. If anyone was having a stressful day, we had access to a gym where we could go and relieve the tension we were experiencing. I learn that no matter where you work, there will always be challenges to face. It's how you deal with those challenges that makes the experience worthwhile.

I would not recommend any IT friends working here. Their pay and benefits are below industry standards. All management create and inhibit a toxic working environment. As such, they only want yes people working there. There is a high turnover rate with staff, so the current staff are holding on to dear life with their tasks and don’t really share. Training is very poor, and you are thrown into a sink or swim atmosphere. There is a real disconnect with management and staff. No room or opportunities for advancement. Their infrastructure is behind and are very slow to make decisions. Beware, they will abruptly fire you without a valid reasons or just cause. Any accumulated OT is not paid out ( at 1.5 ) , it’s advised to take time off at 1:1.


What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at air Inuit was the finance ladies who have been there for years, 30 plus years  and take you in as their own , they are wonderful

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The whole entire job itself , they hire for one thing and add a hundred extra 
While supervisors and up don’t actually work ..
Them and their cliques just take their breaks and lunches for as long as they please while everyone else is watched to the minute

Complete clique , 
No one is equal , special rules for special people 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hectic and unorganized 
Everyone wants to pretend to be nice , meanwhile they’re all talking behind each others backs 
Very immature , very disturbing behaviours

Extremely toxic work environment. Employees constantly talk behind each other's backs, and gossip seems to be part of the workplace culture. Management is disorganized and ineffective, with managers often appearing unfamiliar with the roles and responsibilities of their own teams.

Training was inadequate, leaving employees to figure out important aspects of the job on their own. The biggest issue was the management style rather than addressing concerns fairly and professionally, managers frequently listened to workplace gossip and allowed favoritism and negativity to influence decisions.

Morale was very low, communication was poor, and there was little support for employee growth or success. Overall, it was one of the most unprofessional and stressful workplaces I have experienced.

I was contacted and hired in one week. My expectations in that company were high as they offered a very good salary and a package of benefits very interesting. Once inside, I could verify how unplanned and lack of seriousness they are, specifically in terms of HR, payroll and IT. I've been laid off with any pre notification and the arguments completely untrue and merely pretexts to hide the fact they do what they want when they fire someone to hire someone else. The Helpdesk division is horrible, I've never saw in my life that many people coming up and going away due to a one british guy who is insupportable

The company it self is a work of art in it's own way, but the operations at the fbo in montreal is a complete nightmare. Its bad enough how the hours are very unpredictable, do not make appointments, ever. Even if you have an appointment a month in advance and tell them, that day: sorry new flight, we need you to stay. Basic employees also act like bosses. Everyone will be your boss and tell you what to do.

Just to  clarify this place is the worst place you can imagine , flying sometimes 8 hours , from Montreal to Saluit even you are flying and stopping in other terminals they don't pay over time just you have to take it day off or to be paid regular 

You dont know when your shift will be over as everything works according to the weather in the Arctic. Management does not value employees, Hardest part is being away from families for several weeks.

Air Inuit is a worse place to work as of my experience in Montreal.There is no rule or regular. always stress. No equality, no respect and no politeness. They look others from top to down. they think this is a great opportunity for everyone working for Air Inuit ...
