I worked for ASIG Canada for 3 and a half years. I was happy for the most part until there was a management change in my station and started to notice a drastic fall in the moral of the work place. 2 years and complaint after complaint from employees and 2 wrongful dismissals they had still done nothing with the station manager. It wasn't until a month ago when I along with 13 others were wrongfully dismissed with no reasons being given. They had defamed my character with false accusations towards not just myself but fellow co workers as well. After a long stressful process the company finally decided that they were in the wrong but still refused to have us re instated in the work place and offered severance packages. I feel as though a company I had dedicated 3 and a half years of hard work and good service to turned its back on me and it almost seemed as though they had no regard

Its a work at night grooming/cleaning the inside of 5 to 7 aircraft for 6 hours, a part time job that hires additional manpower on charter season then lay off most of its staff after that period. I learned the system in grooming aircrafts, its management, timing and team work facilitator. The hardest part of the job is usually at the 15th and 30th of the month, these are the times we carry several boxes of magazines three of each kinds then distribute it in every back of the seat then take out the old ones for garbage. Walking on the airside with heavy loads specially winter time is scary and dangerous. The best part of the job is when your done in less than 6 hours work, still you 6 hours were fully paid.

ASIG is a fun company to work for because you work with lots of great people of both genders and different cultures. Working at the airport is a great atmosphere. However management for this company is awful and you will be terminated for just about anything if you are on probabtion. They actually fire people before the probation is up so that they can keep paying the lowest wage.

I worked for this company for 6 years and was basically forced to quit because of how horrible the management was. Not only the station manager but his bosses as well. None of these people should be in the position they are in. They are extremely unprofessional and play favourites, if you are not one of them they will come up with unjust reasons to have you fired. I know many people going to the labour board about them. I could go on forever but please please do your self a favour and do not work here.

Even though the company is unionized, their role model is blame the fueller first, then solve the problem later. Don't expect much from these guys.

They claim you will make over $20 and hour but that is if you can slip by all the senior crew ahead of you. This is a cutthroat company, where your success comes from stepping on others. 

If you like planes and care little about shift you will work, then it is a ok place to work.

Fueled airplanes. Strict union structure in regards to shift selection and required overtime. The lower you are on the seniority ladder, the worse your choice of shift (late afternoons or very early mornings, and guaranteed weekend work) and the more overtime you have to work. However, the pay feels reasonably fair for the work and it's especially low skilled work.

Time management is very important with this type of job. The only downside is you have no choice but be outdoors regardless of the weather conditions. ASIG provides their employees with uniforms and other gears needed to perform their job. One thing I enjoy about this job is working with my colleagues who have been supportive and are fun to be with.

If you like the outdoors, and don't mind getting up close and personal with aircraft this is the place for you...

In the winter months when de-icing operations start this can be very challenging on operating safely, but the thought of doing a good job keeps you warm...

ASIG YYZ fires good guys and keeps the bad ones. Harassment is quite apparent in certain part of this company. Even though the company is unionized, their role model is blame the fueller first, then solve the problem later. Don't expect much from these guys. poor management team; lacking experience and inter-personal skills. Poor training, unsupportive union,
